By first-year players we are referencing freshmen and not players who have been seasoned on the JV field. It truly is remarkable what guys like this week’s recipient have been able to accomplish. We have been focusing on the young Kentucky players who braved the challenges presented this past weekend at the prestigious Appalachia Prep Combine in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Noah Mize is a guy opponents better not sleep on in ’21. This guy figures to be more of a factor this coming fall offensively for the Hornets and was plenty productive in the defensive backfield in ’20. He’s the kind of player around whom successful high school programs build. High School football has always had undersized, over-achievers glorified for what they can contribute to their high school football teams in front of the hometown fans. Tyler Moore is a slightly undersized kid, frame-wise, for where the Purple play him but his production is nothing short of D-1. This kid would be a brilliant pick-up for quite a few in-Kentucky, college programs. He’s our kind of guy because he gets the absolute most out of every gift the good Lord game him. This is what makes him our Revolutionary Player of the Week. Congratulations!
