This week’s “Revolutionary Player of the Week” is a top-flight, 2022 defender playing for Calloway County High School. His name is Montrell Rogers. He, very quietly and without much fanfare, had over 80-tackles in just 11-games in 2019. This feature is brought to you weekly by the folks over at Independence Bank. Go on by and see our friends and thank them, not just for this series, but for the outstanding service and products which have started a revolution in the banking industry.
Quinton Carlton has worked tirelessly and has performed sufficiently well enough to get to do something, going forward, that only 6.9 % of high school players will ever get to do. He has signed to play in college. We suspect you haven’t heard the last of this outstanding player as his talents will really shine once he hits the field on Saturdays. Enjoy the article. HB.
Both Kavarius Moody and Justin Bair grew up playing football for me when I was on the coaching staff in the Packers organization in Clarksville, Tennessee. It is gratifying to see both of them starring for Kenwood High School and both appear poised to factor largely into the game with Hopkinsville tonight. This kid, like Moody, is a winner and a player who makes teams for which he plays better. Can’t complement any young player anymore than that. Enjoy the article.
Red Barnes has been a favorite of ours since he transferred to HHS from Wonder Junior High in West Memphis, Arkansas to play his sophomore season. He is one of the best defensive linemen in the Class of 2020 and one of its leading citizens too. This is a kid who we believe is a college football player (no doubt) but isn’t likely to be positioned in college where the Tigers have deployed him. The fact he has thrived along an even defensive front, though undersized, buttresses everything good about his ability we have consistently maintained. This kid is a winner and a player who makes teams for which he plays better teams. Can’t complement any young player anymore than that. Enjoy the article.
Looks as if Kenwood’s Kameron Williams will be returning one shaped quite differently in 2019 than he was a year ago. He should become one of of Montgomery County’s best interior D-Linemen in the upcoming season. Enjoy this article brought to you by your friends and neighbors at Meeks and Meeks, Attorney’s in Clarksville, Tennessee. Remember if you have a problem, they have the solution.
Some pretty significant players from across Kentucky are nursing some injuries which could possibly impact their teams’ performances in 2019. Here are just a few of the more notable players reported as having sustained injury to KPGFootball. We are sure there are more. We can’t report on what we aren’t told. HB.
Reece Jesse, Jr. is a 6-4, 178-pound, long-armed, vertically explosive athlete tearing it up on the Seven’s circuit and on the gridiron. He has a 78-inch wing-span and a 38-inch standing vertical. We have before shown you video of his 360-degree, spinning, two-handed slam dunk, now hit this link and […]
First of all, if the name Manning sounds familiar, it should. Tahj Manning is Elijah Manning’s cousin, (Louisville Male, Class of 2022). Elijah made our Freshman All-State Football team, is rated the overall 11th best prospect in Kentucky’s 2022 class, and was a fixture on the various Team Kentuckys from […]
It is only fitting on the last day of “Black History Month” and only 2 and 1/2 weeks away from the 39th Annual, Kentucky State Powerlifting Meet, that we stroll down memory lane and commemorate a former great football player and powerlifter. Today, we will take a look back at […]
