When you get to Kentucky 5A, that is certainly denoted as “Big Boy Football” within the commonwealth. For instance, players playing two-ways or “iron man football” at the 5A level or higher gets increasingly rare but you will still see it and usually those pulling it off are really special talents. This guy didn’t get a ton of varsity action over his sophomore year but he did get some. By the end of the shortened season, he was looking more and more like a player the team would, one-day, rely on heavily. We think the time is now. We have been projecting the top-5 team, preseason, in each of Kentucky’s six-classifications. We have been bold in some of our predictions, picking some wild cards we aren’t sure everyone would pick. Here is how we see Class 5A fleshing out. If we didn’t pick your team and you see a district opponent listed among our top-5, that means we don’t think you see round three.
