We wrote this article about John Carter Myers a few years ago. It was an HB Lyon piece about the son of a famous, high school football coach. John Carter was on a visit to Centre College when this was first penned. He ended up signing with Georgetown College where he is now a 6’2,” 210-pound linebacker. He gets plenty of play and makes plenty of plays. Looks like we hit the nail on the head here.

Friday Night Fletch.

Quality bigs coming through your program determines the overall success of the team. Getting quality interior linemen like Ryne Randall is critical to a program’s winning formula. Randall is a promising young baller with things to work on, sure; but otherwise he figures to be quite the player going forward and we are happy we will have a front row seat. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Here is another tough as nails football player in the commonwealth of Kentucky. He’s another player some recruiters would label undersized, though we see production around KPGFootball and not frame. Rito can flat play. Like we said last week, kids with the talent to overcome their frames and put their teams in position to succeed should be celebrated. Congratulations to Cody Rito from Glasgow’s Barren County High School and join us again next week as we celebrate another one-of-a-kind performer. HB.

Warren East‘s mascot is the Raiders. Raider is a noun originating around 1863 and derived from the American Civil War. It is defined, loosely, as a marauding person or someone who plunders, pillages, loots, robs, pirates, or rustles something or another from its actual owner. In a curious way, Coach Griffith […]

DeSales versus CAL for the Class 2A, Region 2 Crown

There was a guy once who, as chance would have it, was a Catholic priest named Martin Luther. He was somewhat upset about the Church’s practice of Indulgences which moved him to author and published a document entitled the Disputation of Power and Efficacy of Indulgences, a.k.a. the Ninety-five Theses in 1517.
