Mason Trimble is headed to Danville, KY where it is anticipated he will be competing for QB-1 reps for the “Praying Colonels” in the Fall. That leaves a job opening under center for the St. Xavier Tigers under first year HFC, Brian Landis. Who will fill that slot? St. Xavier doesn’t skimp on any of football’s three phases. You will find that is true of most of your “Big Time,” “Big Boy,” KHSAA football programs. That certainly explains Logan Seales. Seales is a 6’4,” 182-lbs. kicker/punter who converted 100% of his PATs (15 for 15) a year ago, was seven for 11 on FGs, and sent 88% of his kickoffs into or through the end zone for a touchback (52 of 59). That is called having a lithe leg. Logan is a soccer star at St. Xavier in addition to football and also plays volleyball. He is a multi-faceted talent who makes a difference on a football team not always noticed by the casual fan. We are a long way from either casual or just a fan of KHSAA football. Enjoy the feature.
