Mason Trimble did a ton of stuff in 2025. He was ranked a top-5 Kentucky QB by nearly every national publication which publishes such rankings, he made our large school all-state football team, he led his team to 10-wins, threw for over 2,000-yards, around 26-TDs, ran for another 8-scores and did all of this against the hardest schedule played by any KHSAA football team at any level of competition. Now, in ’26, he has pledged himself to Kentucky’s most prestigious, liberal arts, small college football program. However, there is nothing small about being a Centre Man. Enjoy the feature and let’s keep it comfortable out there, Kentucky!

Blast from the past: @JohnCarterMyer1 from @scottie_glasgow is a ‘Football Player,’ from a football background. He has the ‘Scotties’ looking strong heading into the playoffs. @GlasgowDogPound @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @1776Bank @Gtown_Football

We wrote this article about John Carter Myers a few years ago. It was an HB Lyon piece about the son of a famous, high school football coach. John Carter was on a visit to Centre College when this was first penned. He ended up signing with Georgetown College where he is now a 6’2,” 210-pound linebacker. He gets plenty of play and makes plenty of plays. Looks like we hit the nail on the head here.

Friday Night Fletch.

Un-block-able, Kese Harris from @ColonelFootball appears to be a problem for Colonel opponents @ColonelFootball, @Treez23_, @KLanghi, @Christian_Co270, @PureGradeA, @AlPopFootball @minguabeefjerky @KyHighFootball @CoachAtchley

Demarkese Harris stepped away from the game in ’23 for reasons for which we wouldn’t be so bold as to fathom a guess. We can tell you “Kese” is back in a big way at Christian County and no two coaches are any happier about that than head man, Ethan Atchley, and defensive coordinator, Tony “Cheese” McCombs. Look for Kese to put up monster production in the coming Fall and look for his Colonels to be a much improved outfit than the one you remember from the year prior. Enjoy the article. Kahmani Bush from Trigg County a versatile athlete looking to land- @Kahmanikhari @CoachEzell45 @TriggFootball @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @840WHAS @KyHighFootball @CentreFootball

Recruiting for the small college programs is far from over at this point. Because of that, we fear there are some programs overlooking some bone fide athletic talent through the commonwealth still on the “available” list. Kahmani Bush would certainly qualify. Here is a chance for a difference making late addition to any program’s recruiting list. You’ll thank me later. Friday Night Fletch.

Storm Warning: Two (more) rising seniors at Central stirring interest- @HopkinsCentral @evans02_mike @_CoachManning @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @1776Bank @teeroyhowell @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @CentreFootball @CoachSimmons_CC @harlee_egbertFB

Everyone is aware of the recruiting profiles of both Calil McNary and Logan Rogers. They are on everyone’s board, particularly in the area. Maybe some are unaware of two Storm players whose stock is ever-rising. James Posey and Harlee Egbert are bring college coaches to town now. The first recruiter to hit Morton Gap and leave impressed with them (we hear) is Centre’s Nate Simmons. Enjoy the feature. FL.

Cayden Grigsby, from Middlesboro High, is the top signal caller in Kentucky’s Appalachia Mountains. @Cgrigs2 @teeroyhowell @KyPrepRedZone @nosterman2 @LippertScouting @CentreFootball @_CoachManning @HopkinsCentral @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @HLpreps @kyhighs

Cayden Grigsby is a player we have before featured. We believe he is a “Mr. Football” type player if things break the way they certainly could. You won’t find a better dual-threat QB anywhere in Kentucky’s ’24 graduating class. Enjoy the feature. FL.

@Grant_Vaught (’22) from @LCA_Football is turning heads heading into ’21. @CoachDCharles @minguabeefjerky @KyHighFootball @1776Bank @Oakley_Watkins

This kid has garnered an early offer from the most prestigious liberal arts college in the commonwealth which also has a fantastic football program. There isn’t a hotter college recruiting Kentucky and surrounding states right now than the Colonels from Centre College. Vaught is just another reminder of this fact. This kid is a top-tier, high-school performer and one of the elite players in Lexington, Kentucky. This article should explain it well enough.
