Shane Riley, Class of 2020 RB, is the Independence Bank’s Revolutionary Player of the Week

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank Player of the Week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance both has and continues to exceed both the Daviess County High School’s and Owensboro/Daviess County community’s expectations. Today, we are focusing on Class of 2020, RB-LB, Shane Riley from Daviess County High School.

Shane Riley, RB-LB Daviess County High School

Riley’s Daviess County High School is located right down the road from 3 Independence Bank branches on 2425 Frederica Street, 2465 W. Parrish Avenue, and 3228 KY-54, respectively. Get on by and visit the most rapidly growing bank in the commonwealth of Kentucky, Independence Bank. Independence Bank has started a revolution in the banking industry.

Daviess County started off the year with three straight losses. One of those was to a Class 2A Owensboro Catholic team.

Sure, Owensboro Catholic is among the elite 2A teams in that particular classification across Kentucky. Still, one doesn’t expect a team in Kentucky’s largest classification to lose to a team in its second smallest.

However, all of that aside, it appears the Panthers are heating up when one would hope, right at playoff time, as the 4-5 Panthers have won 4 of the last six games including a 30-27 win over a ranked Henderson County team on October 18. Shane Riley has played a large roll in the improved play.

Riley has gained 1,354-yards on the year in 161-carries. Riley has scored 16-rushing TDs and has scored 96 of the team’s 265-points over the course of its first nine games. In addition to his rushing total, he has caught 10 passes swinging out of the backfield for an additional 134-yards. With Warren East visiting tonight, and the Panthers likely moving the record to 5-5 to enter the playoffs, a hot Riley will go along way to lengthening the season well beyond what one would have surmised coming out of the opening gate 0-3.

Congratulations to Shane Riley for his Revolutionary Play which has earned him this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank.
