Ballard’s DB has tools and attributes to be deployed virtually any where

This is a guy who several recruiting services are high on and with reason. He has good height for where he is slotted to play in college as well as enviable length, speed, and explosion. Campbell is tough, aggressive, and disruptive to opposing offenses. Campbell is a top guy, commonwealth-wide, in the defensive 3rd level who could flip over and play WR in college should a program want to utilize him that way.

Migua Beef Jerky uses Enviro-Pac CHU-2000 equipment to cook its meat to USDA required levels for both moist or dry operation. Mingua Beef Jerky wants you to become one of its many satisfied customers by sampling its quality hand sliced, all natural beef jerky. We know you’ll love it and come back for more, again and again.

Ronnie Mingua began experimenting with making beef jerky back in the 1990s. He shared his efforts with neighbors and friends, soon realizing he had come up with something different and superior to all other beef jerkies on the market. From these humble beginnings, Mingua Beef Jerky got its start.

…[S]omething different and superior to all other beef jerkies…

KPGFootball on the quality of Mingua’s product

Today, the Mingua Beef Jerky Company still prides itself on using its old-fashioned, all-natural recipes which offer outstanding products to customers across the nation. The recipes are a family tradition, passed down from generation to generation.

Our recipes and our quality ingredients, hand-cut from solid pieces of beef, are never chopped or formed like other brands, making our products superior and one of a kind. That would make our products similar to this week’s Protein-packed PerformerMontel Campbell (SS/FS/WR) from Louisville, Kentucky’s Ballard High School, wouldn’t it?

Montel Campbell and his cohorts catapulted to even new heights the Bruin program. Last season, Coach Morton’s Bruins were 11-3 and less than one score from playing for a 6A Title (Lost to Male 24-20 in the Semis).

While the Bruins lost its Semi-final matchup with Male by four; had a few breaks broken differently, who know how that game ends? Who knows how that season ends?

Ballard lost all year to Manual, Scott County, and Male. Those three teams were a combined 30-10 on the ’22 season. They lost the three games by a combined 33-points.

The Bruins did beat Male and Trinity in the regular season before dropping the nail-biter to Male in the Semis. Over all, it was an impressive work sheet in our estimation.

Campbell was one of the strongest defensive weapons on the Bruins’ roster last year…

Prep Red Zone

Campbell recorded 76-tackles in ’22. He also recorded some “specials.”

For instance, Campbell had a TFL, a QB-sack, and picked off three (3) passes. Additionally, Campbell was among the team leaders in PBU’s (passes broken up).

Campbell is 6’1,” and weighs in the neighborhood of 200-pounds (195 is his listed weight on Twitter). Campbell looks to have plus length and speed with the directional “quicks” to reveal the type athlete he really is.

Campbell has been featured in a couple of prestigious recruiting services in the commonwealth. Prep Red Zone (PR) notes that Campbell is among the strongest weapons on the Bruins defense. PR also remarks, “Campbell competes with aggression and toughness, utilizing his speed and size to disrupt offenses. Campbell should be an interesting DB to watch in ’23.”

Bluegrass Recruiting noted Campbell posted some “…really good numbers last season.” They continue, “[Campbell] has a solid body which makes him someone to be reckoned with.”

He (Campbell) has a solid body and is someone to be reckoned with

Bluegrass Recruiting

Both of these services believe Campbell to be among the elite DB’s in the commonwealth of Kentucky. PR has him the 3rd highest rated DB in Kentucky’s ’24 class and among the top 50 or so prospects regardless of position.

We have awarded this to Campbell as we can’t fathom how any one student athlete could have possibly meant any more to a defense in ’22 than Campbell did for Ballard High. On this basis, Mingua Beef Jerky and we decided this talented and accomplished ’24 SS/FS/WR could use a bolt of protein and a sweet T-shirt. The company volunteered to send that to him, straight away.

Join us next week as we return to honor another weekly prize winner. Until then, pop some Mingua Beef Jerky in your mouth and savor the quality and flavor which sets it apart from all the competition. Remember, our product is superior and one of a kind; just like Ballard High’s, Montel Campbell.

This is HB Lyon reporting for Kentucky Prep Gridiron reminding you that WE’RE JUST CALLING IT LIKE WE SEE IT and don’t forget to SAVOR THE FLAVOR!
