Mason Wilson is the Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance exceeded both the Trojans’ and Webster County community’s expectations. We are focusing on the class of 2021, QB, Mason Wilson, from Dixon, Kentucky right down the road from the Independence Bank branch located at 308 US-41, in nearby Sebree, Kentucky.

Mason Wilson, whose sophomore highlights are linked, is just having a monster year for the Trojans as they brace for their game with Trigg County High School tomorrow night. Mason has completed 81 of his 150 passing attempts for 1,244 yards with 15 passing TDs. Wilson haas also scored another couple TDs rushing and is averaging 4.3 yards per rushing attempt while carrying it from scrimmage 18 times thus far.

The most important statistic for any QB is the won-lost column. Webster County, which was 1-10 a year ago, have already won 3 of its first 7. Wilson’s production and the ability to score some points (215 in 7 games in 2019 versus 187 in 11 games in 2018) are both big reasons for the improvement.

Congratulations to Mason Wilson for his Revolutionary Play which has earned him this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank.
