’28 NG appears to be the ‘next big thing’ across the commonwealth
What does one even say about a 15-year old kid who bench presses four plates (405), squats 555, power cleans 275, and clips off 40-yard dashes in 4.9-seconds? What can one even say about a 15-year old kid who is already 6’1,” and weighing 285-pounds, while doing all of the above? What can one say about a freshman nose who registers 29-tackles playing 5A football at the highest levels for one of the classification’s premier programs and premier coaches? Prior to researching Lucas Franklin Flint from Georgetown, Kentucky, I would have said, “I’ll tell you when I meet one.” Well, I have met one. Flint is the strongest, overall, 15-year old in commonwealth history and one of his graduating class’s most sought after and skilled football players. If the colleges aren’t on this kid, right now, it is hard for me to fathom on what they are waiting. I can’t imagine what this kid will look like grown. Pretty scary…

Big Ass Fans from Lexington, Kentucky has a simple corporate goal. The company is “creating a more comfortable world,” one fan at a time.
The logo is the rear of a donkey (Fanny) swishing its tail back and forth. The trademarked logo is among Kentucky’s more celebrated and well known corporate identities across the commonwealth and has come to represent commitment to quality, cutting-edge innovation, and product reliability.
Big Ass Fans is so much more than just a gigantic fan. It is gigantic quality, gigantic performance, and a gigantic commitment to reliability and innovation. Its size is far from the only selling point about our product. Our product is a Kentucky Comfort Creator…and, these days, isn’t that exactly what Kentucky needs?
“Fanny” is among Kentucky’s more celebrated and well known corporate logos…
Friday Night Fletch, “KPGFootball”
Scott County, KY: We have a name for you to write down, right now. This is equally true whether you happen to be a big time high school football fan, a KHSAA administrator or coach, or a college coach on the recruiting trail.
His name is “Lucas Franklin Flint” and his feats in a weight room are legendary. Flint’s accomplishments on the football field, a year ago, equally true particularly for a freshman getting “Friday Night” run at the 5A classification for one of its premier programs.
First in the weight room, it has been an incredible offseason for this prospect. We have seen film of him pressing 405, squatting 555, power cleaning 275, and taking home the total pounds lifted trophy at every powerlifting meet he has entered this spring.
On top of his prowess lifting weights, the guy runs the 40-yard dash in 4.9-seconds. He has division one numbers, even his 40 is a D-1 time for a college nose. Have we mentioned he is just 15-years old?
On the field, he was equally impressive. Not many freshman see varsity action on 5A rosters, particularly not 5A rosters which routinely challenge for the title at its level of competition.
Admittedly, ’24 wasn’t the Cardinals best. No body around Scott County is happy with six (6) win seasons, especially not Jim McKee (278-72, 1-3 in title appearances, 80% winning rate over 30 or so-years). However the young talent on hand around the program has expectations as high as they have been in a while.
You don’t get Lucas Flints coming through a high school program every day. Matter of fact, there are programs throughout Kentucky who have never developed a single one.
This kid will have a huge break out year in ’25, as only a sophomore. By his junior year, we believe his name will be a household word. If I were you (word to the wise time), I would go ahead and write it down, right now. Avoid the rush…
