Robinson, a ’28 OL, looks to put together a huge junior season

Landon Robinson is a ’28 guard who can play all five of the OL positions. That type versatility is invaluable to him as a prospect and to Covington Catholic as a program routinely in the hunt for state titles at its level of competitive play (4A). We have Robinson listed at 6’3,” 274-pounds; but, truthfully, if you study his frame and limb length, we believe he may still add some height going forward. Robinson started eight (8) games as a sophomore on a nine (9) win regional championship team which routinely challenges for supremacy at the 4A level of play. Look out for this kid if you are looking for a rising junior liable to burst out onto the ’26 Kentucky-wide scene.

Big Ass Fans from Lexington, Kentucky has a simple corporate goal. The company is “creating a more comfortable world,” one fan at a time.

The logo is the rear of a donkey (Fanny) swishing its tail back and forth. The trademarked logo is among Kentucky’s more celebrated and well known corporate identities across the commonwealth and has come to represent commitment to quality, cutting-edge innovation, and product reliability.

Big Ass Fans is so much more than just a gigantic fan. It is gigantic quality, gigantic performance, and a gigantic commitment to reliability and innovation. Its size is far from the only selling point about our product.

Our product is a Kentucky Comfort Creator…and, these days, isn’t that exactly what Kentucky needs?

Park Hills, KY: Landon Robinson has been going along swimmingly. The 6’3,” 274-pound right guard able to play any of the five slots upfront made the starting lineup for eight (8) of his team’s 13-games in 2025.

Had he not broken his nose, who knows? Robinson may have started all 13-games.

It is an oft used idiom in high school football that a college player will find the lineup sometime during his sophomore season. That is easier at some programs than others.

Playing for Eddie Eviston’s eight (8) time KHSAA champions, getting sophomore PT is certainly no joke. Point is, Landon Robinson is on track for stardom.

Robinson did some quality work over his eight (8) starts as a sophomore. Covington Catholic won nine (9) games and eliminated a Johnson Central team, in round two, which looked for much of the year to be contenders, if not favorites.

Covington Catholic scored 479-points in 13-games, rushed for 2,774 yards, and threw for 2,116-yards in one of Kentucky’s more balanced attacks. For Robinson’s part, he didn’t surrender a single QB-sack.

Robinson carries a 4.29-GPA in one of Kentucky’s more challenging, private school, college preparatory curriculums (curricula is the latin plural). Anywhere this kid wants to play at the next level will be thrilled to get him and won’t have trouble finding ways to underwrite his matriculation.

We have listed Robinson as a 6’3″ prospect. That doesn’t tell the entire tale.

If you look at Robinson’s frame, the kid has extremely long arms. That means he has enough length in his frame to slide outside and protect against the upfield edge rush or slide inside and block along the interior.

Robinson has plenty of length in his frame

Friday Night Fletch

We aren’t sure the kid has completed his physical development. Robinson was just a sophomore this past season. Lots of “bigs” bloom later than other positions.

Robinson is a guy whose injury prevented his getting the publicity he normally would have garnered. Robinson is a skilled lineman who moves his feet well, plays over an ample anchor, plays with plenty of “bend” and leverage and places both his feet and hands well throughout engagement.

Robinson is a quality “big.” His increased playing time will show the commonwealth everything about Robinson we already know.

Look for this prospect to “break out” over his junior year. This will be a guy about whom we will be talking plenty as the 2026 season arrives.

Congratulations to Landon Robinson on being this week’s Big Ass Fans feature. We know a big-timer when seeing one!
