Jonny Lind, from Covington Catholic, left Indianapolis one of the MVPs of the Best of the Midwest at the DL position and our Protein-packed weekly Performer @JonnyLind96, @BOTMWCombine, @Drake_Jackson52, @CovCathFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

’27 DE had 30-tackles while missing three (3) games owing to thumb surgery

Jonny Lind is among the more recruitable (and recruited) players in the KHSAA’s ’27 graduating class. Lind is 6’3,” 264-pounds, and came away from the Best of the Midwest Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana a MVP along the defensive line. Lind has several programs charting his progress and he plays for a program which considers its 11-3 mark in ’24 and four point loss in the semis to Franklin County a “bad year.” How does Catholic perform so well year after year? Having Jonny Lind-types doesn’t hurt.

Mingua Beef Jerky uses Enviro-Pac CHU-2000 equipment to cook its meat to USDA required levels for both moist or dry operation. Mingua Beef Jerky wants you to become one of its many satisfied customers by sampling its quality hand sliced, all natural beef jerky. We know you’ll love it and come back for more, again and again.

Ronnie Mingua began experimenting with making beef jerky back in the 1990s. He shared his efforts with neighbors and friends, soon realizing he had come up with something different and superior to all other beef jerkies on the market. From these humble beginnings, Mingua Beef Jerky got its start.

Today, the Mingua Beef Jerky Company still prides itself on using its old-fashioned, all-natural recipes which offer outstanding products to customers across the nation. The recipes are a family tradition, passed down from generation to generation.

Our recipes and our quality ingredients, hand-cut from solid pieces of beef, are never chopped or formed like other brands, making our products superior and one of a kind. That would make our products similar to this week’s Protein-packed Performer, Jonny Lind, ’27 RT, C, DE from Covington Catholic High in Park Hills, Kentucky.

Park Hills, KY: Jonny Lind just got back a few months back from one of the more prestigious combines in the country. Lind attended, and studded out, at the Best of the Midwest Combine.

This combine draws the best high school talent in the midwest region yearly. Lots of kids come to the Best of the Midwest with offers. More kids leave the Best of the Midwest with offers.

It is a college football recruiting mill. Jonny Lind, from Covington Catholic, was invited and attended. Lind brought big expectations with him to Indianapolis.

Lind plays for one of the premier programs in Kentucky. Lets us put it this way, Covington Catholic finished 11-3 a year ago and lost in the semis to Franklin County by four (4) points and that was considered a “down year.”

Lind was spectacular for a sophomore getting Friday Night snaps on such a big stage. Lind registered 30-tackles and a fumble recovery (FR) as a sophomore. Much more will be expected from him as a junior.

Lind is framed out very well for where he projects. The projected DE is 6’3″ with really good length. Lind weighs 264-well put together pounds.

When a kid weighs 264 and looks 230 that is called “good weight.” When a kid looks three (3) bills and actually weighs 230 that is no bueno.

As you can glean from Lind’s photographs, he wears that 264 very well. That is why he moves the way he does.

Lind’s getting an “MVP” as a defensive lineman at the Best of the Midwest Combine is worthy of some world famous beef jerky product and a sweet T-shirt. So, with the help of our friends at Mingua Beef Jerky, we thought we would send him some of both.

Join us next week as we return to honor another weekly prize winner. Until then, pop some Mingua Beef Jerky in your mouth and savor the quality and flavor which sets it apart from the competition. Remember, our product is superior and one of a kind; just like Covington Catholic’s Jonny Lind.
