’27 multi-phase talent just what is needed to rebuild the MoCo Indians to its former glory!
Graham Keyklamp’s name is eerily similar to an industry leading, pipe fitting called a Kee Klamp. Both the industrial “Kee Klamp” and our “Keyklamp” are tough, constructed of tough, durable material, which is both corrosion resistant and exceedingly versatile. Kind of sounds like our Keyklamp has some similarities to the product “Kee Klamp,” with the exception being the attached surname of “Graham.” MoCo is a 5A team which is accustomed to running the seventh district and competing at a Kentucky-wide level historically. The program has fallen on mediocre to hard times resulting in the administration of the school turning to veteran coach and former title winner (Paintsville) Joe Chirico. There will be some blocks on which a team may be built and Keyklamp will be chief among those.

Mount Sterling, KY: Did you know a “Kee Klamp,” in the building industry, is a real thing. The spellings are a little off and Kee Klamp, as in a type of pipe fitting, is two words and not one; but, it is pronounced the same.
Pretty cool, huh?
There are over 100 different types of Kee Klamp pipe fittings. The thread-less connections allow the creation of structural connections without welding.
Kee Klamp fittings are made from corrosion-resistant galvanized steel and are typically used to create pipe hand railing and other pipe-based structures. These fittings are tough, rough, and exceedingly versatile.
Being tough, rough, and versatile are similarities between a Kee Klamp and the Keyklamp, as in Graham Keyklamp from Mount Sterling, Kentucky. Well, what do you know?
New Head Football Coach (HFC), Joe Chirico, at Montgomery County (known far and wide as “MoCo”), would tell you the Graham type of Keyklamp is also a tough, versatile, and durable weapon. Chirico intends to deploy his Keyklamp in his arsenal of building products he is amassing in the hopes of bolstering the Indians’s future football prospects.
Keyklamp is a 6’1,” 200-lbs., athlete who can play almost anywhere a team needs him

Keyklamp is 6’1,” and weighs 200-pounds. KeyKlamp is a ’27 prospect who can play a variety of positions in all three phases but was primarily a top-flight defender last season.
Don’t be surprised if Keyklamp gets aligned and worked into the offensive lineup together with special teams as a senior. Keyklamp has the athleticism, skills, ability, explosion, “twitch,” and aggression to do it all.
Last year, Keyklamp registered 68-tackles to rank among the defense’s leaders on a three win, 5A squad. Keyklamp also registered four (4) TFLs, a sack, and a FR returned 32-yards.
Three win seasons are unacceptable in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. The Indians are accustomed to competing state-wide and running things around the seventh district.
It has been a few years since the Indians were right. The Indians have been from mediocre to poor since finishing 9-3 in 2018 under Jamie Egli.
Joe Chirico has been brought in from 6A, GRC (George Rogers Clark), to remedy the situation. If there is a coach in Kentucky up for the job it is the one the school hired.
Coach will have to get reliable performances from some of the returning stalwarts who should excel under both Chico’s guidance and system. Chief among those should be Graham Keyklamp.
Keyklamp appears to be the perfect piece for this puzzle, the perfect fit, the perfect pipe fitting (if you will). Matter of fact, he probably won’t have to be welded into place either.
This is Friday Night Fletch, reporting for KPGFootball; reminding you to PLAY THROUGH THE WHISTLE!
