Class of 2019 Noah Baldwin is this week’s Independence Bank, Revolutionary Player of the Week

This week's Independence Bank's Revolutionary Player of the Week is...

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry. Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance exceeded both the Cougars’ and the McLean County community’s expectations. We are focusing on a class of 2019, RB/LB, in 5-8 and 145 pound, Noah Baldwin. Baldwin and the rest of his Cougars attend class 2A, district 2, McLean County High School located in Calhoun, Kentucky, approximately ten miles from the Independence Bank branch located in Livermore, Kentucky right there on 614 Henton Street.

To say that diminutive Noah Baldwin plays big time is an understatement. Although only 5-8 and weighing only 145 pounds, this little running back carried the ball for the Cougars, last season 185 times, gaining 971 yards on the ground. That amount of yardage in those few carries computes to right close to 5.25 yards every time he carried the football. McLean County gained 3,054 yards rushing last season with Mighty Mite Baldwin nearly 32% of the total amount gained by the entire team. Baldwin, last season, was a do-it-all guy for the Cougars as he led the team in rushing, scoring, and fumbles recovered. Even in categories in which he wasn’t the outright leader, he was still toward the top. Last season, Baldwin was second in interceptions and third in tackles. He’s strong too as the 145 pounder bench presses 225 lbs., squats 365 lbs., deadlifts 315 lbs., and power cleans 225 lbs. Neither Independence Bank nor KPGFootball can wait to see what Baldwin does for an encore for his senior year.

Congratulations to Noah Baldwin for his Revolutionary Play which has earned him this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank.
