Every now and then, we write an article to fully impress our cleverness upon the reader. This is one of those and we may have gotten a little carried away; however, the central points shouldn’t lose focus. The point is…Gabe Claybrook has developed several skills any one of which could get him in college on someone’s dime other than his parents’ or his. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Jerrico Wilson, from Ballard Memorial High, is the @minguabeefjerky ‘Protein-packed Performer’ of the week. @GoBMHSBombers @BallardBombers @BallardSchools @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @HLPreps @MaxPreps @1776Bank @PrepSpin

It is awe-inspiring when you consider all the ways the Bombers football team in ’22 leaned on Jerrico Wilson. Sure the program suffered through a bad season but Wilson was dynamic and spectacular. Enjoy this feature about our Protein-packed Performer of the Week and don’t forget to make time to #savortheflavor of the country’s finest all-beef jerky products. HB.

Layton “Drew” Davis, ’23 Paducah Tilghman, maybe the best interior DL in Kentucky. @RileyElite3 @_Elite3 @NashvilleAABowl @BOTMWCombine @WestKYSportsNet @CoachSimmons_CC @LWC_Football @CVilleTigersFB @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @PrepSpin @kyhighs @HLPreps @KyHighFootball @LaytonDavis4

We voted for Layton Davis, first-team (on our AP ballot), when he was still at Caldwell County last season. Layton was “Honorably Mentioned” on the AP team and first-team on KPGFootball’s squad as only a junior. There isn’t a coach in the West who wouldn’t pick him first if assembling a team and needing an inside presence along the front. This kid is All-State, all day long, and our sources tell us might possibly be headed to play for Lindsey-Wilson. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Grant Garrison, ’23 Woodford County product both a hot commodity and ‘sure-fire’ All-Stater at DE. @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @WoodfordFBall @kyhighs @HLPreps @KyHighFootball @CentreFootball

Grant Garrison is undersized but over performs. There are several small colleges around Kentucky who would benefit from his signature. He reminds us of Centre College’s Oliver Hunter, and big Ollie worked out mighty well for the Colonel horde, just saying. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Dalton Hoskins, from Leslie County, a ’26 prospect who has put the HOS[S] in Hoskins! @Hoskins_Dalton_ @SlashDashSports @jwnoble @BigBradee77 @KYEXPOSURE @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @HLPreps @kyhighs @MaxPreps @PrepSpin

People always want to know how we’re able to identify a future high school star so early in that star’s high school career. Well, it isn’t as hard as you think. Look for the young player who pours it on in the offseason, mix in some measurables and early PT, and that will usually be ‘your guy.’ Big D is our guy and he is also among a handful of the fine OC’s around the commonwealth of Kentucky. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Travis Egan is the @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer of the Week. @1776Bank @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @kyhighs @HLPreps @KyHighFootball

Being an “Egan” and leading the Bullitt East football team seems to be a time honored, family tradition. Like the “Egans” who have gone on before, Travis embraced the mantle and took the team farther than any previous Egan. Enjoy this feature about our Protein-packed Performer of the Week and don’t forget to make time to #savortheflavor of the country’s finest all-beef jerky products. HB.

Chase Flaherty and his Beechwood Tigers know football often a game of inches. @JameeFlaherty @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @HLPreps @kyhighs @KyHighFootball @mitchberger2123 @thewoodpepclub1 @BeechwoodTigers @PBRKentucky @ATYBerger

What a job Chase Flaherty did filling in at RB for the newly crowned 2A Kentucky Champions, Beechwood, after it lost its “Mr. Football” candidate Mitchell Berger. Almost makes you think the Tigers are elite across the offensive front, which is the case by the way. Still, the championship game came down to Mayfield’s extra-point attempt sailing wide of a college goal post which would have been good had the kicker been kicking toward a high school goal post. Football is a game of inches. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Blake Birchfield, ’23 RB, From Pikeville High put on quite the show in the 1A Championship win over Raceland. @LippertScouting @1776Bank @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @HLpreps @MaxPreps @BryanAult @PikevilleHSFB @Blakebirchfiels

This guy was just featured not long ago. Matter of fact, we believe he was the ‘Protein-packed Performer of the Week’ for Mingua Beef Jerky on November 23, 2022. Not even we could have forecast the performance he would provide on Kroger Field against Raceland. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Is it ‘TyTy’ time today for Bardstown High? It better be if the Tigers want to take home the championship over Christian Academy-Louisville. @Tyty3W @BClark_10_2021 @brayden11clark @TigerAthletics0 @LippertScouting @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @HLPreps @MaxPreps @centurions_fb

Tyleeq Williams is one of your better RB’s in the 3A classification. Can he take his Tigers to the championship today at noon? We shall see. Enjoy today’s games. HB.

This week we focus on a young man playing in the backfield of a program attempting to win its 8th title. If there is one thing which doesn’t require a financial services genius to decipher it is the following: BG will need a considerable effort from Huddleston to find the “winner’s circle” Saturday night! Enjoy this feature. HB.
