The Johnson kid (Zane) has defied all conventional wisdom generally espoused about playing as a freshman at Louisville’s Trinity High. Not only is he playing, but his play has resulted in Trinity winning. “Mr. Football” gets annually awarded to the very best football player in the high school game from across Kentucky. It is almost always awarded to a senior. Daniel Thomas (’24), from Bell County, is eerily reminiscent of Isaac Dixon from a few years back who won “Mr. Football” himself. Thomas may be the odds-on favorite for this year’s distinction for what he does for the offense AND what he lends to the defens. Enjoy this feature. FL.

After last night’s 22-point loss to Union County, the remaining five games are games the Storm is capable of winning. It will take a Herculean effort to run the table (5-0) but we have the talent and ability to do just that. A 7-3 finish would put us in the number 2 slot in district 1 and assure us a couple home playoff games. This may be shaping up to be quite the year. FL.

This week’s Revolutionary Player of the Week is Tel Tel Long (No relation, but we would be proud to claim him) from Bowling Green’s Greenwood High. The ’24 RB is fast becoming one of the more talked about offensive weapons in Kentucky’s western end. He seems to have drawn considerable interest and his teammates and he have Greenwood wondering how far this ride might last this coming playoff circuit. Enjoy the feature. FL.
