Part of what we do is preserve on our database the history of Kentucky High School football both for the purposes of posterity and because the present recorders of history suck at this. In this article we will go back and look at one of Northern Kentucky’s greatest teams ever, the Juggernauts of Lloyd Memorial.
We don’t like the present RPI formula used by the KHSAA. Why? We believe the our of classification enhancement for playing up ridiculously assists the teams who play terrible programs who happen to have larger enrollments. There is one team we expect to make a rather strident leap forward in 2020 and it is the Russellville Panthers. They are used to owning the 1A classification on the western end of Kentucky outside of Louisville and it appears there are brighter days ahead for the traditionally rich program.
