Lindsey is a mountain of a man who made our All-State football team and is headed to Souther Illinois for a little Division 1, FCS, football. Sage Dawson led his team to a 15-0 finish and a title playing among the more difficult schedules in the commonwealth. He threw four over 2,500-yards, 29-TDs through the air, and was only picked off 5-times. This player has made every All-Whatever Team available to him in his short HS career and figures to keep making these teams. He has the nose for the football one would expect from a kid whose dad (Shorty Combs) is considered a mountain football legend and former EKU linebacking star. Steve Partin only got nine-games of run in ’23. We don’t know why he missed the other two games. With him signing with Yale of the “Ancient 8,” Ivy League, FCS, Division 1, we can’t imagine the problems was academic. This kid has used football to achieve the ultimate in distinction. He may be President of the US or a Supreme Court Justice one day. That is what a degree from a Yale or Harvard carries along with it. Enjoy this feature.

We have before said that no All-State Football Team gets them all. We have been in the All-State Football business for years and have never published a team without some glaring omissions we thought back and mused, “Man, we should have included him.” Well, it has happened again as Tre Jackson is a guy we wish we had included. We love fullbacks at KPGFootball. Teams which employ FBs are the teams who play football the way we like to watch it. This guy here is among the very best FBs to play in Kentucky’s graduating class of 2024. That is one of the reasons he is winning the sweet T-shirt and the protein pack from Mingua Beef Jerky this week. He played for the Cardinals of Scott Count this past year and its coach, Jim McKee.
