His name is Mason Griffin and he may be the best QB in the KHSAA with whom you might not be completely familiar. He is 6’4,” weighs 215-pounds and has a 4.0 GPA. Griffin plays for Next Up 7X7 and passed for 2,199-yards and 18-TDs his junior year in only 10-games of action. Griffin made his first team all-district squad and finds himself playing for a legendary head football coach in John Hines who has won over 200-career games. South Lauren is coming off a 6-win campaign and played in its first playoff game in years. Hence is a guy who is hard to pigeon-hole. Yes, he can play some QB. Yes, he can play WR. Yes, he can play DB. Where should he play? I don’t know, where do you need him? This guy is what all high school rosters would love to have. Hence is a 6’2,” 180-pounder who can be plugged in anywhere. He was called upon to throw a few passes in ’24 and he completed 90% of his passing attempts (9/10). He caught 38-passes for nearly 500-yards and six (6) scores and was third on the team in scoring. Jesse Clark is a 6’3,” 260 pound DE who many believe is about the best DE on the western end of KY. Clark has the frame, length, and size you want at the “big schools” and with a 3.5-GPA he is also sure to gain admission pretty much everywhere from the SEC to the Ivy-League. This kid has plenty of “leg kick” and get off coming around the end and his explosion will only increase as he matures physically. This is a long, tall, lengthy, edge presence schools love to be able to slot defensively. Enjoy this feature.

Zai’Vion Meads has been working out with Aspirations Gym this offseason. Aspirations Gym proprietor, Chris Vaughn, has been working out Louisville’s elite athletes for a long time, as long as we have been covering this sport. Vaugh has Meads “looking right.” Meads has exploded the myth the camera adds weight as he looks good live, or on film. Today, we award this prestigious, weekly distinction to one of the Derby City’s better DL prospects playing for one of Louisville’s deeper and most talented rosters. Kinnett Willis plays for the “Mighty Lakers” from Russell County High. Russell County went 5-6 a year ago but were in the thick of things in all but two of its ball games. Head Football Coach, Steven French, is at the helm of a rebuild and is doing a fine job. Then again, he is a “French (Larry French’s son).” Willis is hoping to bring along a little “Magic” to his ball club over the course of his senior season. Should he, it may look a little like “Show Time” in Russell Springs, KY my friends. Enjoy the feature.

Jaylen Bradley just finished his sophomore season playing for one of the more prestigious programs in Kentucky. Bradley caught 12-balls for 273-yards and three (3) TDs on offense and registered 16-tackles, two (2) INTs in his 11-games of run. Jackson Arnett is the new sheriff in a town which has won 690-all time football games. What is our prediction for both Bradley and his “Scotties?” Success…
