Storm Warning: No one is feeding this Khristian to the lions, Scott is preparing for a huge senior season on Morton’s Gap @HopkinsCentral, @_CoachManning, @evans02_mike, @scott_khristian, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

In latin the practice was know as Damnatio ad bestias, losely translated “Condemnation to beats.” You would know it as throwing “Christians to the Lions” and it was a form of capital punishment where the condemned person was killed by wild animals, usually lions or other big cat. No one is practicing this today, but the vernacular of “Throwing (one) to the lions” has modern day usage usually akin to a young player being thrust into action earlier than a coach would like. Well, no one is throwing this particular “Khristian” anywhere. This guy plans on making a real impact his senior season on Morton’s Gap and then sliding somewhere for some college football. The way he is built, don’t bet against him.

Cam Alsip is the type of high school player we LOVE to cover. He’s a hard worker, kills it in the weight room, all the while looking like a mild mannered, Academic team member. Yeah, Clark Kent didn’t look like much either, at least not in glasses. This kid is busting his tail to get better and it will translate onto the field. With 15-TFLs, 6.5 sacks, and five (5) FFs in ’24, how much better can this kid possibly get? I feel sorry for the kids trying to block this monster. Enjoy the feature.

This is a ’26 kid we expect to see some college programs get after. Gibson list DL among his positions, though he has mostly been a one-platoon guy along the offensive front. Enjoy this feature about a kid whose performance made the unbearable heat a tad more bearable and who hopes his performance brings comfort to the home fans around Winchester, KY this upcoming Fall. Let’s keep it comfortable out there, Kentucky, and allow us to help you out in that regard.

They call him “Quise.” At 6’3,” 330-pounds, with a school record back squat of 605-pounds and a near 300-pound bench press, we will call him whatever he likes. Quise Smith is just another first rate, division I, “power four” type to come out of one of Bowling Green, Kentucky’s and Class 5A’s premier programs. This kid is a monster and had quite the sophomore season. Yessir, you are reading that correctly, he is a ’27. We can’t help but be reminded of ’18’s Jacob Lacey who signed with Notre Dame a few years ago. Let’s keep it comfortable out there, Kentucky, and allow Big Ass Fans to assist you in that regard.

Well he registered 162-tackles, 14-TFs, 3-sacks, 3-FFs, 3-FRs. That is quite a mouthful. Enjoy this look at the star MLB for Coach Bob Eubanks’ Hornet’s nest from Lewisport, Kentucky. The great thing about high school football stars is often they are the guy who grew up down the street, went to church with us, and even look like us. The college guys are often inhuman, but the high school guys are “Regular Joes.” They are the boy next door. They are what is best about us if you really think about it. Aden Bolden is among the very best football players in Kentucky. He had a tremendous junior season, make the Big Ass Fan’s All-State, Small School, Football Team, and is now our Protein-packed Performer of the Week. Enjoy this feature and remember to #SavorTheFlavor.

LCA routinely produces the finest college talent in the commonwealth in spite of playing at the 2A classification. As we have said umpteen time, where you compete (classification-wise) is pretty meaningless in Kentucky. In the KHSAA, we have good teams and not so good teams. Both types span all six (6) classes. Enjoy this look at a kid who has the name to go as far as he would like in the sport of football. He has the measurements and the skills too. Enjoy the feature.

January 8, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Baron Hardesty is putting up prodigious numbers, particularly in the weight room. He is also impressing all the right people. This is a prospect who we could see signing with any team at virtually any level of competition. If this kid can’t catch on with an FBS level team, then the NIL and transfer portal has rendered the prospect unattainable. Enjoy this feature and remember to #SavorTheFlavor.
