This Stewart Williams Company Robertson County Player of the Week is Taylor Groves from East Robertson High School. This isn’t his first time to win the award. Groves is a 2022 “Jack of All Trades and Master of them All” Athlete who is absolutely on fire and considered Tennessee’s best football player in his graduating class. His play regularly exceeds any and all reasonable expectations, week after week. Enjoy this look at a guy who is coveted and pursued by all the “Big Boys” of college football for a reason. Join us again next week as we look to recognize another of Robertson County’s worthy players.

This Stewart Williams Company Robertson County Player of the Week is Parker Deaton and this isn’t his first time to win the award. Deaton is a 2020 running back who is absolutely on fire this season, through two games. He plays at White-House Heritage and the Patriots have already exceeded 2018’s win total for the season. Enjoy this look at a guy who may be small in stature but his on-field performance is anything but small. Join us again next week as we look to recognize another of Robertson County’s worthy players.

Justin Bair, Kenwood HS, is this week’s Meeks and Meeks Attorneys Montgomery County Player of the Week…

August 23, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

Both Kavarius Moody and Justin Bair grew up playing football for me when I was on the coaching staff in the Packers organization in Clarksville, Tennessee. It is gratifying to see both of them starring for Kenwood High School and both appear poised to factor largely into the game with Hopkinsville tonight. This kid, like Moody, is a winner and a player who makes teams for which he plays better. Can’t complement any young player anymore than that. Enjoy the article.

East Robertson’s Ian McKinzie (c/o 2022) is the Stewart Williams Company Robertson County Player of the Week…

This Stewart Williams Company Robertson County Player of the Week is Ian McKinzie, a 2022 player at East Robertson High School who helps along the offensive line at guard which is, really, the very backbone of any high school football team. Enjoy this look at a guy ready to “come into his own” along the Indian’s offensive front in 2019 blocking for Cameron Swift and the boys as they open with Forrest High School tonight on the road in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. Join us again next week as we look to recognize another of Robertson County’s worthy players.

Hopkinsville’s Denarius “Red” Barnes (2020) is the Meeks & Meeks Montgomery County area Player of the Week

August 16, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

Red Barnes has been a favorite of ours since he transferred to HHS from Wonder Junior High in West Memphis, Arkansas to play his sophomore season. He is one of the best defensive linemen in the Class of 2020 and one of its leading citizens too. This is a kid who we believe is a college football player (no doubt) but isn’t likely to be positioned in college where the Tigers have deployed him. The fact he has thrived along an even defensive front, though undersized, buttresses everything good about his ability we have consistently maintained. This kid is a winner and a player who makes teams for which he plays better teams. Can’t complement any young player anymore than that. Enjoy the article.

McLean County’s Cody Wilson is the Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week

August 15, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

Congratulations to Cody Wilson for being this week’s Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. This is a OL/DL player who only played in two games a year ago, but hey, give him a break, he was only a freshman. We believe he will see the field much more frequently in 2019. Enjoy this article about a kid we believe will be taking flight in 2019 and we track and report on such things with some frequency. Join us next week for another selection.
