Independence Bank has started a revolution in the Kentucky financial services industry

Three (3)-Sport Superstar has his Football Team Hitting on All Cylinders

Brysen Dugger is a kid who colleges have got to be scouting closely. This kid’s production on the gridiron is just sick and his hardwood production is pretty awesome too.

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank Player of the Week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence…

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a QB whose performance has been so outstanding it is getting commonwealth-wide attention much like Independence Bank. Today we are featuring a ’23 QB from Sommerset, Kentucky’s Pulaski County High named Brysen Dugger.

Now some of you exceedingly knowledgable and sophisticated financial market people may say, “Hey, Independence Bank doesn’t have a branch in Somerset, Kentucky.” To those people we would add the word, “yet.”

…[Y]ou never know when and where [Independence Bank] might pop-up next.

John L. Hines is a legend in the coaching fraternity across Kentucky. If you will look at the picture we have put in this article of Coach Hines (see above), you will see no one but a legend could ever pull off a hat like that as convincingly as he has.

Coach Hines will tell you the X’s and O’s can only do so much in the sport of football. Sooner or later, all coaches need some Jimmies and Joes to truly field excellent teams like his present version, sitting at 8-1 on the year awaiting 8-0 Southwestern High’s contesting them in tonight’s Don Franklin Bowl.

Hines has him one Hell of a “Jimmy.” Brysen Dugger, a ’23 QB who is 6’2″ and also stars on the hardwood at guard, is just lighting it afire this season.

Last week against another coaching legend, Dudley Hilton (Bell County), Dugger completed 14 of his 23-passing attempts, for 255-yards passing, and 3-TD’s against no thrown picks. Dugger, who is athletic enough to be a WR when not playing QB, also rushed for 54-yards on 5-carries.

Exactly none of this should be surprising. This season, through the first 8-games, Dugger has completed 156 of his 215-passing attempts (72.5% completion rate), for 2,345 yards through the air, with 32-TD passes versus just three (3)-INT’s.

Dugger sports a 4.0 GPA. You already know that statistic impressed Independence Bank the most.

Congratulations to Brysen Dugger for his “Revolutionary Play” through the first eight games and that which is to come the remainder of the ’22 season, all of which has earned this magnificent sophomore RB/LB this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, our friends at Independence Bank.

This is Coach HB Lyon, reporting for Kentucky Prep Gridiron and reminding you that WE’RE JUST CALLING IT LIKE WE SEE IT!

Epilogue: Southwestern High won the Franklin Bowl over Pulaski, 31-20. Southwestern moved to 9-0 with the win and Pulaski dropped to 8-2. Former Mingua Beef Jerky Protein-packed Performer (January/2021), Tanner Wright led Southwestern in rushing with 217-yards on 25-carries with three (3) rushing TD’s and scoring (18).
