At 6’3,” 285-pounds, there is little wonder why many pundits believe Brady Hull to be the top rated OL in Kentucky’s ’27 graduating class. Hull reports some 20-D1 offers, a 4.0 GPA, a 31-inch vertical leap, an 8.7-foot broad jump, and many other jumbo-athlete feats of astonishment. Hull helped lead his 5A Pulaski County Maroons to the precipice of a title before being turned back by the Red Devils of Owensboro who boasted a few stud players of their own. Hull was on our Big Ass Fans, Large School, All-State Football Team and that is not the least bit surprising. As teams continue to prepare for the ’26 Fall, let’s look in on this monster of a prospect.

Somerset, KY: Believe it or not, there are times when we miss on a player who should have made our All-State football team but, sadly, didn’t. We would point out that is our magazine’s failure and not the kid’s failure.
It is the very reason we publish the team a few days before the on-air Reveal Show. We figure, publish the team and if there are some glaring omissions; some coach, somewhere will point it out to us. This (of course) permits us the opportunity to rectify the omission before the team is “officially” announced, on air.
A guy you just would never miss, assuming you actually follow the KHSAA football game, is Brady Hull. Hull has been talked about, praised, ballyhooed, and held out among our finest prospects his entire high school football career.
That comes with the territory when you are among Kentucky’s more coveted OL prospects. Hull has been offered by UK, Duke, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, and North Carolina among others.
Hull anchored a rushing attack which gained over 3,000 yards and scored 47-rushing TDs. The Maroons also threw for 1,855-yards and another 15-scores.

Most importantly of all, the Maroons played on Kroger Field for the 5A title. Many believe Hull may be headed to UK.

We can’t say for sure but the hope Hull stays home and becomes a Wildcat is somewhere between a dream and a fervent prayer to the Almighty. This kid may find himself in the race for Mr. Football next year. We have had an OL in that race before, remember Josh Jaggers?
Until then, there is a senior year to play and 5A title to chase. The Maroons graduate the 2025 season’s QB-1 this spring in Zak Anderson. However, star RB Kasen Brock is returning as is leading receiver Winston Ford. Ford was only a sophomore last season.
Brock’s returning is pretty huge. Brock gained 1,808-yards on 267-carries a season ago, 22-of which were housed for scores. Brock also made The Big Ass Fans, Large School, All-State Football Team.
Returning the type skill talent the Maroons will have available for ’26, together with linemen like Brady Hull, should make Travis Burns‘s ball club right formidable this coming season. Word to the wise here, you might want to stay out of old number 79’s way.
Then again, you do you!
