Isaac Sowells, Jr. is an acorn whom didn’t fall far from the tree. Isaac Sowells, Sr. played at Indiana before being drafted in the 4th round of the 2006 draft and playing several years in “the league (NFL).” This is a kid who is not a normal 6th grade athlete and whom will continue to be athletically superlative for as long as he plays we project. Here’s a guy not quite 5-feet tall who has been selected to both Team Kentucky Future Stars and to the FBU National Elite Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has shone both places from what we hear. Kid will line up at receiver and if you blink, Tennessee, he’ll be gone. He will come up big for HMS next Fall too. Meet Treston Kay. This is Bowling Green’s Treyvian Bunton who is Cheryl Hodges-Buntin’s grand-baby. She calls him “Chip” but we can assure you encountering the block from off of which his “Chip” was knocked would be quite the scary conundrum. Tennessee better hope ole Chip doesn’t show up in Clarksville looking for some blocks with whom to knock heads. This kid is no kid, at least not anatomically. Two QBs who have had tremendous success under center but neither of whom are the framed out type of pro-style guys generally playing in a game like this will square off on June 15 in Clarksville, Tennessee at Fortera Stadium. Both of these guys have “it.” By “it” we mean all the intangibles which make one a difference maker at the QB position. Rising 9th graders like Deangelo Patterson are not your garden variety of rising 9th graders. Players like him find themselves immediately in the discussion for PT.
