’26 dual threat QB, and three phase contributor, ready to keep leading
JaCaryous Perryman is a dual threat QB for the Falcons who contributes on defense and special teams as well. He came up big time a season ago in one of the more unlikely upsets we have ever witnessed. Perryman is a dynamic athlete and skilled football player who has been working super hard in the offseason. This is a kid who certainly looks to have a “next level” future to us and there are plenty of colleges in the area who seem to agree. If Fort Campbell is to get back to where the program once was, they will have to develop plenty of “JaCaryous Perryman-types” to help lead the way. For now, this one here is doing yeoman’s work.

Oak Grove, KY: The Fort Campbell Falcons are coming off a respectable 5-5 year. They would be the first to tell you the program is hardly satisfied by a .500 finish. We are discussing a program with six (6) state titles after all (1976, 1978, 1979, 2007, 2008, and 2009).
The Falcons brought in Henry Mitchell to get the program back right and so far, so good. Mitchell’s charges even accomplished the upset of the decade when beating 5A powerhouse, Madisonville North Hopkins, 41-40, at Fryar Stadium last September.
The Falcons were pretty young a season ago but will be laden with senior leadership in 2025. JaCaryous Perryman (’26) is one of the more dynamic dual threat guys in his classification of play and is our Lasaters Coffee & Tea, Wake Up and Smell the Coffee Player of the Week.
Last season, Perryman gained over 900-yards passing, throwing for 13-TDs against only five (5) picks. Perryman gained another 600 or so yard rushing adding seven (7) TDs via the ground game.
In the biggest game of the year, the upset over Madisonville North Hopkins, Perryman threw for over 200-yards and a pair of TDs and rushed for 144-yards and three (3) more scores. In a one-point margin where mistakes could be ill-afforded, he didn’t make any; scoring almost half of the team’s total points (20 of 41).
Defensively, Perryman also came up big when called upon. He had a handful of tackles, forced a fumble, and recovered a fumble throwing in a two (2)-pointer on special teams for three (3) phase utility. You guys know we love that!
That being said we felt it was high time for people around Oak Grove, KY (Fort Campbell) to take notice of this outstanding performer and outstanding young man. Oak Grove, as far as JaCaryous Perryman is concerned; it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee!
