Mayfield, KY: Migua Beef Jerky uses Enviro-Pac CHU-2000 equipment to cook its meat to USDA required levels for both moist or dry operation. Mingua Beef Jerky wants you to become one of its many satisfied customers by sampling its quality hand sliced, all natural beef jerky. We know you’ll love it and come back for more, again and again.

Ronnie Mingua began experimenting with making beef jerky back in the 1990s. He shared his efforts with neighbors and friends, soon realizing he had come up with something different and superior to all other beef jerkies on the market. From these humble beginnings, Mingua Beef Jerky got its start.

Today, the Mingua Beef Jerky Company still prides itself on using its old-fashioned, all-natural recipes which offer outstanding products to customers across the nation. The recipes are a family tradition, passed down from generation to generation.

Our recipes and our quality ingredients, hand-cut from solid pieces of beef, are never chopped or formed like other brands, making our products superior and one of a kind. That would make our products similar to this week’s Protein-packed Performer, Mak Hoover, ’26 ATH, from Mayfield High School in Mayfield, Kentucky.

…[S]omething different and superior to all other beef jerkies…

KPGFootball on the quality of Mingua’s product

We have been scouring the commonwealth of Kentucky in search of “versatile” athletes playing the sport of football. We have come up with an infinite number of examples spanning our great commonwealth.

We have another doozy here. Mak Hoover is a guy coming off an incredible sophomore campaign. We have heard, many times, college players reveal themselves sometime over that player’s sophomore season.

If this is true, and we have no reason to doubt it, Hoover appears “out of hiding” when it comes to identifying next level football talent. There are limitless reasons we believe this.

First of all, Hoover is a guy with enviable frame for where he is aligned. Hoover is 6’1,” weighs 175-pounds, and is fast enough and good enough athletically to be on the varsity track and basketball teams in addition to football.

Hoover had a tremendous sophomore season. He got “varsity burn” in 13 of the team’s 14 games over which time Mayfield went 13-1 and won another Football Title (2A) in the KHSAA.

Hoover caught 25-footballs from his WR post. Hoover registered 421-yards receiving and scored seven (7) TDs through the air. Hoover was fourth (4th) on the team in scoring. Those are solid numbers for a sophomore playing on one of 2A’s most stocked rosters.

Hoover caught 25-footballs, registered 421-yards receiving, and caught 7-TDs while picking three (3) passes, on defense, with a “pick-six” in ’23

KHSAA Statistical Website

Hoover was probably considered more of a defender in spite of solid offensive numbers. However register 42-stops, three (3) INTs, 47 IRNYs, and one (1) of the team’s three (3) pick-sixes.

Colleges will tell you a player can be the best on the field in the commonwealth; but, that doesn’t complete the transaction if the player can’t get by the admission’s committee. Students, like Hoover, usually get offered, early and often, owing to there being no issue with his academic scores.

Hoover carries a GPA in the 3.7 to 4.0 range depending on what social media account you access. Either number gets a prospect across home plate safely.

Join us next week as we return to honor another weekly prize winner. Until then, pop some Mingua Beef Jerky in your mouth and savor the quality and flavor which sets it apart from the competition. Remember, our products are superior and one of a kind; just like Mayfield’s, Mak Hoover.
