Independence Bank has started a revolution in the financial services industry

’26 two way player is versatile and talented

Logan Smith is a guy who excels at anything he does. He is a 3.62 GPA guy in the classroom, excels on the gridiron, and excels in Track & Field. There is not much this 5’11,” 195-pound guy can’t do. He was the ’22 and ’23 POW for his school and made the All-WKC team in both seasons. This guy will be a serious candidate for All-State upon the completion of his junior year.

Hudl Highlights ’23

X-account

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bankplayer of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

507 N 12th St, Murray, KY 42071

Today we honor ’26 WR/LB, Logan Smith, from Murray, Kentucky’s Calloway County High School.

Smith’s Calloway County High  is very close to two valuable members of the Independence Bank family. There is a branch of Independence Bank on 507 North 12th Street and another one on 721 South 12th Street both in Murray, Kentucky. Today’s featured branch is located at 507 North 12th Street.

Independence Bank wants the community to know we stand prepared to help our friends and neighbors in every conceivable way. Sponsoring a series of articles to promote middle and high school football athletes in the communities we serve is an omnipresent example of this commitment.

Independence Bank Officers and Staff

Logan Smith seems to prefer doing things in pairs. Logan has won this distinction twice and followed up a Defensive Player of the Year Award season at Calloway in 2022 with another one in 2023. The 5’11,” 195-pounder made the All-Western Kentucky Conference (All-WKC) team both years.

Smith is a speed guy. Like a lot of speed guys, his spring sport is Track & Field.

Smith has run an 11.97-second, 100-meter. Smith has run a 23.85-second, 200-meter. Smith has been timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.66-seconds. If you check the conversion formulas, you will see his fully automated 100 and 200 meter times are consistent and both validate his reported 40-time.

In ’23, Smith was the second leading rusher. Smith scored a TD rushing and receiving and was among the team’s leading point-scorers.

Defensively, Smith led the team in tackles (96), was among the leaders in TFLs (6), and registered a pair of QB-sacks. Smith recovered a fumble and forced a fumble while registering an INT.

Friday Night Fletch

There is one more statistic which really impressed both Independence Bank and KPGFootball. Smith is carrying a 3.62-GPA.

Congratulations to Logan Smith, both for his Revolutionary Play over the course of the ’23 season and that which is to come as we brace for the Fall of ’24 football and his new journey as a vital cog in Calloway County’s offensive and defensive arsenals.

This is Friday Night Fletch, reporting for Kentucky Prep Gridironreminding you to PLAY THROUGH THE WHISTLE!
