Every year we like Owensboro Catholic to challenge for a title in 2A. Every year they seem to do just that before dropping a game in a late round. Larry French has built a contender in Middlesboro, Kentucky in the five years he’s been at the helm, going 54-14. The Yellow Jackets were 10-44 the five seasons before his arrival. Triston “TK” Kay has had quite the career at Hoptown as a performer the Tigers could turn to for production whether on offense, defense, or special teams. He enters his senior year among the most versatile performers in all of the KHSAA. His head football coach swears he is among the best 50-players in all of Kentucky. We believe the Colonels will be way more formidable in ’24 then they were at any time in ’23.
