College recruiters are always inquiring and searching for an attribute known as “growth potential.” Growth potential is (basically) the likelihood a prospect’s best football and pronounced physical development still lies ahead of him. These are the “late bloomers.” Jacob Parker may embody this attribute better than any player who made either our Small or Large School All-State Football Teams. He’s now know throughout Kentucky as “Friday Night Fletch.” We have known him as Fletcher Long since coming online many years ago. He has personally authored well over 1,300 articles on the topic of middle and high school football and is known throughout Kentucky as the leading expert on middle and high school football and its stars and coaches. Evan Hampton may be the top baseball prospect in Kentucky’s ’26 graduating class. How good is he? Well, he’s already committed to play for UK and that is one of the better programs in the SEC; which is, in turn, the elite conference in NCAA baseball throughout the country. Hampton isn’t just good at baseball. The sophomore RB made the 840WHAS & KPGFootball Big-School All-Sate Football team. He made our “Big School” All-State Football Team, was named the ’23 Defensive Player of the Year,” and appears headed to play collegiately at the FBS, Division I level.
