Jackson County on Thursday night, with the help of a splendid senior RB who began the year as a TE/LB, did something the program has never before done…the Generals won their sixth game of the season in only the team’s eighth attempt. The Generals are sitting at the top of the 5th District (freelance) standings with two games to play staring down the barrels of an 8-2 potential. They were 0-10 a year ago. Wow!

James “Pocket Full Of” Posey has been in everyone’s pocket (or backfield) over the first seven (7) games of this ’23 season. Last week, against one of the stronger ball clubs in 3A, District 1 (McLean), Posey spent the entire night chasing ball handlers around the Cougars’ backfield. He is a tad undersized but has the length to make up for it. Regardless of college potential, and he has his fair share, this kid is a dynamite high school football player. Tucker Warren is a transfer from 5A North Laurel. He is killing it at “The Rock” and Rockcastle High is, in turn, killing it this season. Last Friday night, the team travelled to Middlesboro, Kentucky and took down a giant in the 3A classification in Bell County.
