’26 QB has the frame and grades colleges covet
Zak Anderson has literally every measurable any college could want. We have seen him consistently measure at 6’4,” and he may be an inch taller than that (6’5″). We have his weight at 210-pounds. Anderson had a fine year as a junior for an eight (8) win, 5A football team in ’24. Anderson threw for close to a couple thousand yards, rand for three (3) ground scores, and had a nearly two and a half to one (2.5:1) TD to INT ratio (22-TDs, eight (8)-picks). That 3.9-GPA puts him in play at a ton of college levels including the Ivy and Near Ivy leagues.

Ronnie Mingua began experimenting with making beef jerky back in the 1990s. He shared his efforts with neighbors and friends, soon realizing he had come up with something different and superior to all other beef jerkies on the market. From these humble beginnings, Mingua Beef Jerky got its start.
Today, the Mingua Beef Jerky Company still prides itself on using its old-fashioned, all-natural recipes which offer outstanding products to customers across the nation. The recipes are a family tradition, passed down from generation to generation.
Our recipes and our quality ingredients, hand-cut from solid pieces of beef, are never chopped or formed like other brands, making our products superior and one of a kind. That would make our products similar to this week’s Protein-packed Performer, Zak Anderson, ’26 QB from Pulaski County High School in Somerset, Kentucky.

Somerset, KY: Zak Anderson is quite the physical specimen at the QB slot. The ’26 prospect from Pulaski County Kentucky stands 6’4,” and weighs 210-pounds.
We have seen him listed as tall as 6’5.” We wouldn’t question either height.
Anderson passes the position’s eye test. In ’24, with the ’25 season looming, his production doesn’t look to be in question either.
Anderson completed 92 of his 188 passing attempts and threw for nearly 2,000-yards (1,897-yards to be exact). While you would want his completion percentage to be higher, that statistic relies on receivers making the grab and not all HS QBs are blessed with the same caliber receiving units.
Anderson three 22-TDs while getting picked only eight (8) times in ’24
KHSAA Statistical Website
Anderson threw 22-TDs through the air while running for another three (3). His two and a half to one touchdown to interception ratio is where coaches would like to see such numbers on elite QBs.
There is another number of Anderson’s which hits the spot other than his production and measurements. That 3.9-GPA puts him in play anywhere from Harvard/Princeton/Yale to Centre College/Johns Hopkins/MIT.
Look around and see how many QBs around the KHSAA are built like SEC QBs with the GPA of an Ivy-Leaguer. Not too many, huh?
Join us next week as we return to honor another weekly prize winner. Until then, pop some Mingua Beef Jerky in your mouth and savor the quality and flavor which sets it apart from the competition. Remember, our product is superior and one of a kind; just like Pulaski County’s Zak Anderson.
