Class of 2021’s James Haerle of McLean County HS is this week’s Independence Bank, Revolutionary POW

Zach Wagner runs one of the very high achieving football programs in Kentucky’s Class 2A, particularly on the western end of Kentucky. The Cougars run the Wing-T with a precision which makes its gaining ground on opponents a “given.” The turn-around this year, from 0-3 to the Regional Championship game, was particularly masterful. There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry. This week’s recipient is a player who was unbelievable in the team’s first-round game against Hancock County. Landon Capps has won this award before; but, if he keeps having 270-yard rushing nights; we’ll be liable to start awarding to him every week. McLean County’s Cody Wilson is the Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week

Congratulations to Cody Wilson for being this week’s Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. This is a OL/DL player who only played in two games a year ago, but hey, give him a break, he was only a freshman. We believe he will see the field much more frequently in 2019. Enjoy this article about a kid we believe will be taking flight in 2019 and we track and report on such things with some frequency. Join us next week for another selection.

This week’s Independence Bank’s Revolutionary Player of the Week is McLean County’s Peyton Caraway, Class of 2020 RB

July 13, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

Congratulations to Peyton Caraway for being this week’s Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. This is a RB/MLB who appears to us to really enjoy playing football and whose role will expand in the absence of Cline, Baldwin, and Miller all being lost to graduation. When you gain 1,038 yards in only 95 carries, which works out to only 7.916 carries a game, you need to be getting the football more anyway. Join us next week for another selection.

This is part three of our three-part series “Wandering through the wasteland…” Today we predict the district winners in Classes 2 and 1A. This concludes our series. I would mention Fletcher Long, formerly a writer here at KPGFootball and now working for Bluegrass Sports Nation called and said some coaches have taken strenuous exception to this analysis. To those offended, I am saddened you take offense. Still, we strive to be true to our craft and our opinion is just that…ours.

You always hear of “Wedding Bells.” Of course who can forget the late Jim-Ed Brown singing about “…all the wedding bells are ringing…” McLean County opponents hear an all-together, different type of Wedding-Bell. These are the type of bells heard after being “rung-up” by Jabin Wedding. Jabin is back for his senior year and McLean has it rolling in Class 2A, District 2. Enjoy this article about this week’s Revolutionary Player of the Week brought to you by our friends at the fastest growing bank in all of the Commonwealth, Independence Bank.
