The Lions are off to a fantastic start at 3-1 with its lone loss being to a ranked 1A team (Holy Cross) by a single point in the season opener on its brand new, 62-million dollar stadium. Since then, the Lions have roared including beating the pants off the defending 1A champions, Kentucky County Day, 34-7 in its second week. Well, Thursday night, the Lions won its first home game, beating Marion County 41-6 behind the strong play of its ’27 QB, Brian Dickerson, Jr. Can this team, which was practicing on asphalt parking lots and un-manicured fields really contend for a championship in its district and at the regional level under Coach George Durant, Jr.? They have the players, the athletes, the frames, and the facilities. Enjoy the article.

There are quite a few freshmen who made considerable contributions to the ball club this past season. Jamaal Haskins was certainly among their number. Haskins is a long, explosive, quick-twitch athlete who promises to contribute prodigious contributions going forward for the DuBois Academy program. DuBois is an up and coming outfit and there aren’t too many around the Derby City struggling to envision the Lions getting in the thick of the 2A championship race going forward. Enjoy this look at one of the best freshmen football players the commonwealth of Kentucky has produced over the last few seasons and a player from whom you will definitely hear in the near future.

Clark is like so many outstanding middle schoolers across the Louisville area. He is awaiting Future Stars tryouts like so many others. This is an impressive kid who is very skilled right now. It may prove scary to see what he becomes in the future. Enjoy this feature from Kentucky’s fastest growing financial institution; setting the standard for excellence in the financial services, Kentucky market. HB.

Darion Cole from Louisville a Future Star? He appears to be a present one… @Darioncole9 @CoachYohn @Coach_Lockwood1 @WEBDuBoisATH @_DuboisFootball @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @kyhighs @HLpreps @1776Bank @MaxPreps

This kid literally has it all. It is very hard to evaluate 7th-graders but quicks and speed are things which can be somewhat evaluated, even in younger prospects. This player is elusive, catches the ball well, get’s down hill in a hurry, and has a nice long frame on him which belies tremendous growth potential. Enjoy the feature. HB.
