All Sage Dawson (Boyle County/Air Force Academy) does is win, win, win no matter what @SageDawson @CoachHaddix11 @Coach_Thiessen @minguabeefjerky @KyHighFootball @1776Bank @840WHAS

Sage Dawson led his team to a 15-0 finish and a title playing among the more difficult schedules in the commonwealth. He threw four over 2,500-yards, 29-TDs through the air, and was only picked off 5-times. He was his District’s and Classification’s Player of the Year and made our Large School All-State Football team. Enjoy the feature. Friday Night Fletch

Every one talks about Montavin Quisenberry around the Boyle program and rightfully. However, Boyle has another athlete on its roster clipping off fully automated 10.8-second, 100-meter track times. That converts to a 40-yard dash time of 4.5-seconds (fully automated) which is blazing. This guy has averaged over 30-yards a reception this year and is second on the team in TDs receptions. Enjoy the feature. Friday Night Fletch.

It appears high school football is moving into a ‘Saturday Night’ phase. Tonight, Bryan Station will travel to Danville, Kentucky to face Boyle County’s Rebels in the Rebel Bowl sponsored by Whitaker Bank. While Bryan Station is 6A and Boyle is 4A, tonight’s outcome may just go a long way to proving how unimportant classification is in Kentucky High School football these days. Enjoy the feature. HB.

When you get to Kentucky 4A, that is the first class generally denoted as “Big Boy Football” within the commonwealth. For instance, players playing two-ways or “iron man football” at the 4A level or higher gets increasingly rare. Here is our best guess concerning how this classification shakes out this coming season. Enjoy! HB.

@jaggergillis from @BCRebelFootball is the @minguabeefjerky ‘Protein-packed Performer’ of the week. @1776Bank @KyHighFootball @PrepSpin @MaxPreps

Sometimes the winner of this award doesn’t have the “stand alone numbers” one generally sees from his position group. However, Mingua Beef Jerky also prizes players who invent ways to make things happen even when the opposing defense is trying desperately to take away from that player what he generally contributes. Such was the case Friday night in the Mingua Beef Jerky Bowl. Boyle County’s Jagger Gillis had an extraordinary performance, though in an out of the ordinary sort of way. Nevertheless, we believe you will find his contributions more than deserving. We did. Enjoy the feature and join us again next week as we do all of this again. HB.

We first told you about Sage Dawson in an feature we wrote about Caleb Burns in May of last year. Sage had started under center much of his freshman campaign for the Admirals and had drawn considerable notice then. Well today Sage gets his own feature. Congratulations! Dawson is a guy whose name you will hear more and more on the recruiting trail as he matures and develops. His development and “coming out” party will take place and kick off in Gatlinburg, Tennessee on May 22, 2021 at the Appalachia Prep Combine. Can’t wait to see what he does. HB.
