We had another big week and so did these guys we have featured in this weekly series. This week we feature 27-current stars, one coach, and two teams among the performances “singled out.” We believe one of these guys is very likely to win the Mingua Beef Jerky Award this Wednesday. We don’t always award this to two players at once and we know the brothers Sokolowski are probably tired of being lumped together all the time but, c’mon, did you see the performance the two of them put up against 5A Christian County? Just ridiculous and both of the performances were so outstanding it would have been impossible to award this to one over the other. So, we awarded it to both. Join us again next week as we tee this up and award this prestigious honor to another player or players as the case may be. HB.

Murray High may have a backfield full of the hardest names to spell in all of football. You virtually need a doctorate to even attempt to spell Rowdy Sokolowski, Brendon Dahncke, or Charvelle McCallister. This week’s recipient, Brendon Dahncke, had a particularly good game in one of his team’s more important games of the year, against cross-town, 4A, District 1 heavyweight, Calloway County. It was a battle for supremacy in the city of Murray and the county of Calloway and Dahncke led his team to the winner’s circle.
