We remember when Adrian Stringer was a record setting QB on Morton’s Gap. We spilt some ink on this dude, in the day. That is the thing about getting old; the guys you cover become the coaches you cover. Central had a difficult pill to swallow this weekend; but, overall, Stringer has done a nice job in his first season “back home.” What does the future hold for this program, for this bright, young, energetic head football coach with a college pedigree both playing and coaching? I suppose we shall see. All journeys start with a first step.

Sometimes individual performances give rise to promise and expectation for the future even where it came in an unsuccessful bid for a victory. This past weekend the Trigg County Wildcats were hammered by a Caldwell team which has looked good all season in the 139-Bowl. That loss aside, and dropping to 1-4 on the year aside, the Wildcats still found elements about which to feel like there its considerable promise for the future under legendary coach, Curtis Higgins. MarQayvion Green had a strong night rushing the football and Caden Scott, who has come off injury, showed resilience under heavy pressure, shrugging off sack attempts to keep plays moving in the second half. These young kids getting all these valuable live game reps will pay off before too much longer. It just goes to show, one has to be omnipresently prepared, ready. This week our jacket patch goes to the young freshman who played like anything but a freshman (MarQayvion Green). He has been expected this year to be prepared, to be ready, and to perform and, thus far, he hasn’t disappointed. Enjoy this look at young MarQayvion Green who is our Bank of Cadiz & Trust Company All-State Player of the Week and another patch-recipient as we enter mid-season and district play.

TE Seneca Driver from Boyle County FB is the @bigassfans Kentucky Comfort Creator of the Week @bigassfans, @KyHighFootball, @khsaafootball, @SenecaDriver, @BCRebelFootball, @LemmingReport, @CoachHaddix11

Boyle County, together with the titles won by cross town Danville High, have earned the nickname “Title Town.” Boyle has 13-titles, having just won Justin Haddix’s fifth (5th) title over the previous six (6) seasons. Players like Seneca Driver have much to do with the success. Haddix and his staff seem to regularly produce football playing talent like Driver. Montavin “Q” Quisenberry won “Mr. Football” just a few years ago and Seneca Driver has to be considered an early favorite for that, and many other, awards entering 2026. Enjoy this look at one of the best football players the commonwealth of Kentucky has produced over the last decade or so.
