This week’s Protein-packed Performer of the week get little attention even though he is a 3-star, nationally rated QB-prospect playing 6A football in one of Kentucky’s more densely populated areas. Of course, the QB playing cross-town, at Owensboro Senior, is also among Kentucky’s top signal callers in the same graduating class, ’22. Here is another tough as nails football player in the commonwealth of Kentucky. He’s another player some recruiters would label undersized, though we see production around KPGFootball and not frame. Rito can flat play. Like we said last week, kids with the talent to overcome their frames and put their teams in position to succeed should be celebrated. It would appear, if Twitter is any indication, the “King of the West” at the RB position, Mayfield’s Kylan Galbreath has reclassified and will be back in the Cardinals backfield for a full ’21 season. We are glad to hear it and hope this is accurate. Enjoy this look at a RB who puts the Cardinals squarely in the 2A-Title hunt in ’21, where they seem to be every year, even the “down” ones. HB.

Yet, here he is statistically among the most productive linebackers in the entire commonwealth. When people ask us what we cover during the offseason, as we are strictly a football magazine, we tell them there is lots of stuff to cover offseason. Sevens, Track & Field, baseball, Powerlifting, all of these sports have football players starring in them as well as on the gridiron. His is one of the most recognized names in Kentucky football. Largely because his dad, Chad Pennington, who is also the head football coach of the Sayre’s program, played 10-years in the NFL, was a Heisman Trophy finalist for Marshall’s Thundering Herd, and was drafted 18th-overall, as the first QB in the 2000 NFL draft. However, his son’s ability to play the same position is drawing quite a few apt comparisons.
