Slow Motion Replay: Dan Haley had the Midas Touch! @pths_football, @bryanstationfb, @PurplesFootball, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans

Dan Haley finished his career with an overall record of 253-79-3 with stints as the head football coach at Bryan Station in Lexington, Paducah Tilghman, and Bowling Green Senior High. Haley did something else rather singular, he took every program he ever coached to the title game, winning titles in ’73 at Tilghman and ’95 at Bowling Green. His ’95 title likely stands alone as he won that title over Fort Thomas Highlands, and its enigmatic and brilliant head coaching legend, Dale Mueller (28-12). Haley won four COY’s in four (4) different decades and was enshrined in the Dawahares, KHSAA Hall of Fame in 2007. Enjoy this look at one of the finest coaches the sport has known, a guy with a real “Midas Touch.”

This is one of Kentucky’s very finest RBs in the ’25 graduating class. They call him “Jaws,” and he is a 3-star, nationally rated prospect in Rivals and 247Sports. He’s one more thing too, he is the Protein-packed Performer of the Week. Enjoy this feature and and don’t forget to #SavorTheFlavor of the country’s very finest beef jerky products. Kalen Washington can be scarier than the 1975 thriller…ask some of the defenses attempting to contain him @KalenWashington @coachhawkins1 @bryanstationfb @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @840WHAS @KyHighFootball

They have called Kalen Washington “Jaws” since middle school. He has terrorized the football community with the same ferocity as the great white terrorized movie screens in the mid-70s. You can almost hear the music alerting the viewer to the presence of the menace. Opposing defensive linemen can certainly commiserate as can second and third level guys. Enjoy the feature. Friday Night Fletch.

This guy here is among the very best athletes to play sports in Kentucky’s graduating class of 2024. That is one of the reasons he is winning the sweet T-shirt and the protein pack from Mingua Beef Jerky this week. He is a three-sport guy who played QB at Lexington’s Bryan Station leading his Defenders to its first Title-game appearance in 24-years. Enjoy this feature and don’t forget to #SavorTheFlavor.

Satterly is a kid who hasn’t gotten any Friday night run yet. He’s been playing goalkeeper for the Defenders’ “other” football team. He has decided to try his hand at American football and he has the measurables to do it. Enjoy the feature. FL.

It appears high school football is moving into a ‘Saturday Night’ phase. Tonight, Bryan Station will travel to Danville, Kentucky to face Boyle County’s Rebels in the Rebel Bowl sponsored by Whitaker Bank. While Bryan Station is 6A and Boyle is 4A, tonight’s outcome may just go a long way to proving how unimportant classification is in Kentucky High School football these days. Enjoy the feature. HB.

This week’s award recipient came up big in the biggest game of the year for his team to date. Trenton Cutwright had a great night in Bryan Station’s win in Richmond Friday night against highly regarded Madison Central High School. Matter of fact, the sophomore signal caller is having quite a season. Enjoy this feature. HB.

We have quite the specimen for you this week. Andrew Jones from Paul Laurence Dunbar is one of the very best players in Kentucky at his listed positions of TE/LB. In college, it is literally anyone’s guess where he will be played. He literally could play either. Enjoy this look at one of ’22s most intriguing college prospects and join us next week as we do all of this once more… HB Lyon.

This kid here, if size were the determining factor, has no business playing where 6A Bryan Station has him deployed. Yet, here he is statistically among the most productive linebackers in the entire commonwealth. Kids with the talent to overcome their frames and put their teams in position to succeed should be celebrated. Congratulations to Amodeus Taylor from Lexington’s Bryan Station High School and join us again next week as we celebrate another one-of-a-kind performer. HB.
