We believe this is the first time we have awarded the Jerky Prize package to a head football coach. Well, it isn’t exactly everyday some head football coach celebrates his 350th win. There have only been two others in HS history in Kentucky to have had such a celebration, Phillip Haywood and Dudley Hilton. We have had some basketball players come over to the gridiron and demonstrate the skills which made them elite on the hardwood make them equally elite on the turf. One of those guys is Warren Central’s Dre Boyd. However, Jabari Kyle is having a “Boyd-ish” football season himself, just at a different position. Someone contacted old Coach Lyon and asked when we were going to put out our preseason top-10 football polls for each classification. Well, today seemed like as good a day as any to continue the tradition. Since KPGFootball started with the top classification when picking district winners, this time we started with Class 1A and yesterday we projected Class 4A. Today we give you our projections for the next classification up from the lowest one, here is Class 5A and we will complete the series tomorrow with Class 6A!
