Here is something right amazing, almost exactly a year ago, December 29, 2019 to be exact, we featured then 8th-grade All American Jak Lindsey from Owensboro MIddle School. Well, a lot has happed since last year, like his starting in the 5A championship game for Owensboro High School as only a 9th-grader (man, we called this one) but he is still a super-star player, nonetheless. Enjoy the article. HB.

Christopher Forehand, Jr. (@chrisforehandjr) has been rock-solid for @GoRocks (Trinity Football)…matter of fact, he has been perfectly splendid!

This is an article we are leaving out from behind the paywall as an appreciation for the unbelievable support we have been getting. As of this morning, KPGFootball has 442-subscribers. We were under 320 when the National Epidemic hit. We might be the only outlet in the commonwealth still reporting on sports. Anyway, the support has been phenomenal. As a thank you, we are leaving this article open for people to read for free. If you like what we do, subscribe (link in the article provided) and support our efforts to promote kids like this one. Enjoy the article. HB.

Anthony Johns is a bull rumbling at the head of the herd

June 30, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

At KPGFootball we admire the players who kind of have to work for stardom and then do. Anthony Johns has a good frame which appears likely to still be lengthening but his is not the best OL frame we have seen. However, his attention and dedication to strengthening, conditioning, and doing even the little things the right way is among the best we have seen. There aren’t any players in the Class of 2022 which work any harder than this one. Enjoy the article about a young man who so richly deserves anything good which comes his way.

It is STUDENT-athlete, not student-ATHLETE; the migration toward elite academics over the football factory

June 20, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

This may be the most important article we have published. There is a trend taking over the commonwealth of Kentucky and we love it. The trend, committing to elite academic institutions over waiting on D-1s to come-off with an offer, appears to be spreading and thank the good Lord for that. Look people, it is STUDENT-athlete and not student-ATHLETE. Let’s be smart out there and use our athletic talents to set us up with academic opportunities which set us up for rewarding, fulfilling, and comfortable lives.
