This usually is a pretty fun article. A few days ago we posted the “KPGFootball Scorecard.” On that document we memorialized the matchup and just who we believed would win and why. What we do in the scorecard is give you the solution. What we don’t do is demonstrate how we worked the problem. Thursdays, during the football season, we often publish an article which “shows our math.” If you read this article you will see why we picked the teams we picked to win and why we picked the teams we picked to lose. You may not agree and that is okay. We are wrong between 10-15% of the time. It makes for fine reading and generous discussion. Enjoy the article.

Sayre comes off a big battle against last year’s champion (Kentucky Country Day) looking to Jake Morita to set the pace! #Kentuckys #fletcherwlong #LeadershipLegacy #CoachingExcellence #MentorshipMatters #characterbuilding #SportsLeadership #BuildingChampions #kentuckyfootball #highschoolfootball #DisciplineAndD

Jake Morita is a weapon defensively at the second level of the Spartan defense. In addition to playing TE on offense, the 6’2, 205-pound junior mans a linebacker post and holds down a 4.2-GPA in a very ambitious and difficult college preparatory curriculum. Sayre had a big opener last night against a team which is defending at the 1A level and only returned three (3) starters, per side, from off its championship roster from a year ago. How did this all resolve? Better read this article, this morning, and we’ll tell you. Tune us in over the radio on “Friday Night Kentucky” and we’ll talk about it.

Brandon Abren, Jr. has announced he will play his HS football for Kentucky Country Day. It is anticipated he will likely be competing for RB-1 reps for the “Bearcats” as early as this Fall. Two former all-staters are walking the graduation stage this Spring leaving a huge hole in that backfield that a stud like Abren could fill. We take a look at the situation and garner a guess about one of the candidates. Abren has the frame, physique, and athletic ability to take a run at the job. Opportunity is knocking, will Abren answer the door? Let’s keep it comfortable out there, Kentucky, and allow us to help you out in that regard at Big Ass Fans!

We thought we would head on over to the Derby City and catch up with one of our favorite RBs on one of our favorite teams. Parker Rudolph (’26) is a RB prospect who has the speed, power, and explosion (twitch) to play free or strong safety at the next level too. He can return kicks, punts, work the slot catching the ball, and use his backend separation speed and spacial quicks to gain a ton of after contact yardage. At Big Ass Fans, we reach out and impact all parts of Kentucky, large or small, wherever we are needed. Parker Rudolph is having a fine season particularly for a 1A RB on an undefeated, contending football team, so we thought we would honor him today. Enjoy this look at Parker Rudolph, our Big Ass Fans, Kentucky Comfort Creator!

Well guys, we will be regularly appearing on two different podcasts this coming season. We will be on Cleats 2 Whistle and (of course) our own Friday Night Kentucky which will air for the third season with Scott Fitzgerald. This is just an example of the work required to be “Friday Night Fletch.” Welcome to my life, folks. I absolutely love it!
