In the world of Kentucky high school football, a world about which we are undoubtedly familiar, the Trinity/St. Xavier game is often referred to as “The Game.” It is so big neither on campus stadium is viewed as sufficient to host the event. This is why it gets annually played at the stadium which hosts University of Louisville football games instead. This year neither team has lost a game to a Kentucky high school. That changes this weekend. We have taken a deep dive into the matchup, done our homework/research, and have forecast a winner. Let’s see how closely we get this or if we miss altogether. Alexander Schuster looks to battle it out for a slot along the interior offensive line for Kentucky’s premier high school football program. It is hard to find the field for Trinity until your junior season no matter who you are. Schuster has worked his tail off and has bided his time. It is his day. Trinity is coming off a 13-2 season and yet another 6A KHSAA football title. All told, Trinity has won 29-championships and favored to make it 30. Schuster’s frame and growth potential are big pluses for him as he is our Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator this week. Let’s keep it cool out there KY.

We see these hot-shot, gun slinger QBs come out of MS and look to challenge an incumbent for snaps every so often. It isn’t every year, but every five (5) or so years wouldn’t be a stretch. I once had a former college, SEC QB tell me the most popular position on any football team is the 2nd-string QB. If you think about it, it makes sense. Austin Jacobson is the best MS QB we have seen come down the pipe in a few years. He reminds us of Zane Johnson (Trinity) who defied all odds to lead the Shamrocks to the 6A title in 2023. Mason Trimble returns for St. Xavier and the rising junior had a very good season and looks to be getting some “Mr. Football” pub entering the ’25 opener. Trimble won’t hand the kid this job. However, should it get to the point his services are immediately needed, one could do much, much worse. Enjoy the feature.

Bryan Jones is among the hottest young coaches in the industry Kentucky-wide. He has his Cougars playing football at an incredibly high level and looking every bit like 5A threats coming down the season’s home stretch.
