We have been going around and congratulating some of our advertisers who helped promote some of these kids right on the small or large school all-state football team. Yesterday, we congratulated some kids who made both the Bank of Cadiz award list and one of the two teams and today we do similarly for Lasaters Coffee. The truth is we have some wonderful sponsors among our family of advertisers and many of these companies know a quality player who seeing one. Today, we recognize four guys who made all-state all four of whom we have before fed breakfast. Enjoy the article.

The @BigAssFans, Small School (1A, 2A, & 3A) All-State Football Team

We will start out this all-state team with an admonition with which we begin every team we have ever published. We will miss on some guys. It is just important to note that your son not making out team doesn’t mean he wasn’t an all-state caliber player. Also, we expressly reserve the right to re-enter the team, even after it is published, and add worthy players who may have been missed or accidentally omitted. That being said, our small and large school All-State football teams, sponsored by Big Ass Fans, are the most expansive and complete teams in the business. This team here, and the coaches’s team published by the Courier Journal, are the only two legitimate teams in existence and we believe our team to be much more complete and legitimate than even theirs. Congratulations to the players who made the team and congratulations to the wonderful world of Kentucky high school football for providing us with the endless thrills and discussions we net from our following this, the greatest game on earth.

The Kelley family has a very long history in the local football industry and several of the Kelleys have had their numbers retired owing to their familial history of playing excellence. Football has been very good to their family and they look for ways to give back to this very special community. We were talking with our friend, Rusty Goble the other day. Goble is the OC at Trigg County. He was excited to be getting a ton of talent back on the “active” roster from the “injured reserve.” According to Rusty, “We have everyone back with the exception of Peyton Williams. We may be the best one win team in KY.” Well, now they are a “two-win” team as they smoked the Rebels from Todd County 48-6, and with the help of this week’s PoW, just might be a dangerous team entering the playoffs. One doesn’t get much more versatile than Fort Campbell’s JaCaryous “JP” Perryman. Last season, as a junior (’26), Perryman rushed for 603-yards, housed seven (7)-TDs rushing, completed 62-passes for 912-yards and 13-TDs, caught four (4) passes for 62-yards and a TD, housed eight two-pointers, registered 20-tackles, forced two fumbles, recovered one, and picked a pair of passes for 5-IRNYs. Say all of that three times really fast. The guy is a fantastic athlete who competes in multiple sports for his high school which competed at a high level a year ago in winning half its games. We have called it the biggest upset in the KHSAA since we began covering it approximately a decade ago. We couldn’t believe it when it was reported to us thinking it almost had to have been a typo. It wasn’t a typo and JP Perryman played a pivotal role in its occurring. If this isn’t worth some of the world’s finest beef jerky, it is hard to imagine what is. Cinderella arrives at the Ball, Fort Campbell upends Madisonville-North Hopkins

It was the singular, most incredible upset in Kentucky HS football since I began covering the topic in April of 2015. If I could have bet my house on North Hopkins winning this game, I would be homeless today. Lots of Cinderellas find themselves at the Ball but very few of them have the wherewithal to actually bag the Prince. Most of the time, the Cinderellas get to the Ball and end up going home with a busboy from the catering company-still not a bad night but not the prize for which you came to the Ball. Hopkins Central got off to a rocky start here in ’24. The same can be said of Fort Campbells opening loss to Clarksville NE. These two teams meet on Friday night and they both badly need to come out on top. We like Central in this contest, but they can’t make the same mistakes made against Caldwell or the result will be similar. Enjoy the feature.
