It is called the “Holy War.” Lexington Catholic versus Lexington Christian. It is one of the more anticipated rivalry games in the commonwealth of Kentucky. It is getting played tonight and we have taken an in-depth look at the matchup and the men who will play it. We will forecast a winner, then we will wait and see whether we were right or wrong. It is that time of year. It is time to start figuring which teams, entering the ’25 season, figure to factor in the title chase. We have detailed what we think here and it is based on our study of the incoming, ’25 rosters, what players return, what players graduated, and other various factors we have perfected through the years to render such predictions. We plan to do this for all of Kentucky’s six (6) classifications and there is no guarantee we will go in order from the top down, or the bottom to the top. There are good football teams in the KHSAA and there are bad ones and those teams span all of the six classes. Enjoy today’s look at 3A. Keep checking back as we may drop another class any time we feel like it.

Man Robinson was one of only three ’28’s to make either the small or large school all-state football teams. Big Ass Fans sponsored the team and continues to demonstrate a willingness to support and promote young Kentucky kids in the pursuit of their dreams and aspirations. We are proud to award this week’s award and recognition to one of those three freshmen who are now (and forever more) known as football All-staters. “Cherry” is a term with which we are familiar particularly in discussing vintage automobiles. Cherry is beginning to define excellent down lineman play for the Centurion defense, or that is what it meant this past Thursday night in the big road win at Manual High. Look out for these Centurions, 3A, they are getting their playoff legs ready for the running. Can’t wait to see what they do against Central in a few weeks.

Well, it is time for us to pick the 3A classification and how it will “shake out” this coming Fall. We could take the coward’s way out and pick last year’s champion, Christian Academy-Louisville, to repeat. Instead, we took the coward’s way out and picked eight-time title holder, Belfry. Enjoy. How does a high school program such as 2X defending 3A champion, CAL, replace a QB with over 4,000-yards passing in ’23 and 55-TDs against only 7-picks? Connor Hodge and his brother, Cole, both just made our Small-School All-State Football team. We collaborated on this team with NewsRadio 840 WHAS out of Louisville. Hodge’s numbers were as sick as his brother’s and both the Hodges are headed to ECU in the AAC to play collegiately together. Maybe the Hodge brothers can replicate, in FBS, Division I, the same magic they performed together in the KHSAA’s 3A classification. Enjoy this feature and don’t forget to celebrate with us the services, people, and financial products which have caused a revolution in Kentucky’s banking industry.
