We are very pleased to welcome Lasaters Coffee & Tea to our growing family of advertisers. The Kelley family has a very long history in the local football industry and several of the Kelleys have had their numbers retired owing to their familial history of playing excellence. Football has been very good to their family and they look for ways to give back to this very special community. Lasaters is a place one goes to get caffeinated and motivated and couldn’t we all use a bit more of that invigoration in our daily routines. We are approaching round four (4) in the KHSAA playoffs. All of these teams left standing are very good. There are exactly no bad apples left in the barrel. It will be the “little things” which differentiate between winning and losing at this point. “Mighty Mayfield” has themselves the home field and a kicker in Lincoln Suiter who has before come through for the Cardinals in a “big game,” with the game on the line. If called upon, Friday night, will he come through once more? We shall see, but the Cardinals are confident. Enjoy the feature. HB.

This is Drew Davis. He is among Kentucky’s very finest interior, defensive down lineman in Kentucky’s ’23 class. We believe he will be a first-team All-State AP player next Fall and made the KPGFootball first-team a year ago. There are two programs which believe he is theirs. In the end, isn’t he his-own? First of all, both the fine people at Mingua Beef Jerky and KPGFootball would like to express heartfelt care and concern for all those impacted by what has been termed the worst tornado in the history of Kentucky. We hope our efforts may bring a moment of comfort to those whose lives have been so inestimably impacted. We will continue to bring to people the coverage and products on which they have come to rely and hope our efforts in some small way may provide some comfort and the certainty which can come from “soldiering on” under truly adverse circumstances. With that being said, we are pleased to award this week’s prize package to a fantastic player who lives in one of the more impacted communities, Princeton, Kentucky. There is a player listed on the Caldwell roster as wearing No. 63 and slotted at both offensive center and defensive end. This guy doesn’t exist within the public record outside of being awarded the Farmers Bank “Player of the Week” on YourSportsEdge.com. We hope we aren’t being “Cat-fished” here; but, if we aren’t, and if there is such a person who played as well as the 2018 stats indicate, he has to be considered one of the best DEs in western-Kentucky entering the 2019 football season. We suppose time will tell. HB
