TaShawn McBroom had a really fine freshman year as the head football coach in Buckner, Kentucky at Oldham County High. The Colonels finished 8-3 and look to improve on that effort this coming season. It will start with the articulation of young talent from off the JV roster onto the varsity team. Caleb Wheeldon is one new addition to the varsity play rotation we believe will be counted on more and more as the year progresses. Enjoy this feature. HB.

Here is a guy who figures to make a huge impact for Louisville’s Pleasure Ridge Park High this coming Fall. Though he only played in 6-games a year ago at Fern Creek, he was one of its more dynamic, second-level defenders. Today we feature a kid who showed flashes of brilliance a year ago. Caleb Moore showed a dangerous burst, particularly on kick returns, and the Rock could stand a lot more of that type effort this coming season. Some of these “Break-out Players” are players many in the Kentucky Press Corp should have already been featuring. This guy here would have to rank among ’22’s top returning players. He has everything you would look for were you recruiting to a Division I program at the LB position. He plays RB too, but we see him in the defensive second level as a collegian. Collegiately, we believe he will be somewhere in either the FCS or FBS. Enjoy the featue. HB.
