We continue on with our offseason coverage not really discussing players of the week so much as discussing featured players and prospects. Asa Munsey is simply among the best defensive football talents in the Kentucky-wide, KHSAA football game today at any level and a tremendous first baseman in baseball on top of his being talented on the gridiron. Munsey came up from middle school among the commonwealth’s more talented players and has done nothing but confirm we were all right about him from the beginning. Munsey is only going to improve over his senior season, particularly gaining multi-phase deployment where he should get many more opportunities. Munsey is the kind of kid coaches want to coach and, in the end, that may be the finest compliment which can be paid to him (or any other kid). Enjoy the feature.
