The season is right around the corner and we are doing what we typically do every year. We are going through the classifications, 1A-6A, and breaking down how we see the coming year progressing. We study these type things, have analyzed coaching staffs, personnel changes, and other statistical data to arrive at an opinion which is far from a guess. Enjoy this look today at 3A, a classification one of our area high schools (Murray High) will likely figure prominently before the season is over. Every high school has an all-time football coach. Some of these guys are in the KHSAA Hall of Fame and others of them aren’t well known outside of their territories. Regardless, all of these guys were great and have wonderful attributes which made them the kind of men for whom families, for generations, have entrusted their sons. Hoover Niece, a KHSAA Hall of Famer, was such a coach and we believe Austin Moore is headed in a great direction. Enjoy this look at a kid named for a famous prophet but whose future success doesn’t take a prophet to foresee.
