’29 WR/MLB will add “twitch” and explosion to the lineup

Jaden White is a 6’0,” 155-pounder who thrives presently on both the hardwood and the gridiron. He has committed to play his high school football for the Central Storm on Morton’s Gap. That is a huge get for Coach Manning and his charges as the Storm continues to add height, length, athleticism and “twitch” to next year’s roster. Hard to tell if any freshman might challenge for Friday night PT, but this one here seems a fairly good wager.

Morton’s Gap, KY: The offseason is in full throws around the commonwealth and that is equally true in Morton’s Gap. Eighth grade kids are deciding where they are likely to play their high school careers and many top-flight and talented kids are selecting Central.

Central picked up a huge commitment from Jaden White. You may not know him as “Jaden.” You may know him better as “Melo” White. He will answer to either and we have that on good authority.

White is a stud on both the gridiron and the hardwood. Statistics are rarely kept in middle school, but we have found both seasonal highlights and a 70-yard run captured on his Twitter feed. If you would like to mill around one of his social media platforms, here is a link to his Twitter, or his “X,” or whatever that platform may be called these days.

Now this kid is obviously a Carmelo Anthony fan. Anthony, also called Melo, scored 28,289-points in the NBA and grabbed 7,808 rebounds while making the NBA All-Star team 10-times. What’s not to like?

This particular “Melo” looks to have a tremendous future ahead of him, high-school wise, in both football and basketball. White has good size (6’0,” 155-pounds) and enviable length. White played MLB defensively and WR on offense exhibiting a fearlessness which made him a stalwart in the run box and unafraid to traipse across the middle and make hard grabs.

White has separation speed…this is the type kid who plays early

Friday Night Fletch

White has good “separation speed.” Overall, this is the type of kid who sees early playing time in most HS programs.

We were able to talk with Coach Manning about this pick-up. He told KPGFootball, “Although we aren’t permitted to circulate and talk personally to these prospects we have worked tirelessly, through different camps and rotary games, to show kids how much we hope they will consider Hopkins County Central. White’s declaring, on Twitter, he is enrolling at Central this next Fall is an indication our camps, rotary games, and similar efforts are paying dividends.”

Jaden White has a tremendous skill set and plenty of tools from which any program would likely benefit. We see more and more young kids leave 8th-grade physically ready to contribute on Friday night. Well, you’re seeing it again with White.

Keep an eye on this guy…
