Thomas Sizemore is one of the more recognizable names playing football across Kentucky, especially in the ’28 graduating class. He had a tremendous freshman season and was selected an FBU, Freshman All-American for his efforts. Look for this guy to see more offensive deployment heading into the ’25 season. There are some really outstanding freshmen football players who got a ton of reps during the ’24 season. There was even a ’28 kid who got 13-games of run behind the best OL unit in Kentucky at any classification. LCA’s Matthew Montgomery is a 6’0,” 230-pound guy with a 275-pound bench, a 405-pound squat, and a penchant for flattening defenders unfortunate enough to get in his pulling trajectory on traps and pulls. They call him “Melo.” It is a reference to Carmelo Anthony and is an indication of just how good this ’29 can be in two, not just one, sports. Jaden “Melo” White has committed to play his high school ball at the Central Storm and, in so doing, provides an explosive, big-frame athlete who can play on the edge or in the middle of the defenses second level. The great thing about high school football stars is often they are the guy who grew up down the street, went to church with us, and even look like us. The college guys are often inhuman, but the high school guys are “Regular Joes.” They are the boy next door. They are what is best about us if you really think about it. Aden Bolden is among the very best football players in Kentucky. He had a tremendous junior season, make the Big Ass Fan’s All-State, Small School, Football Team, and is now our Protein-packed Performer of the Week. LCA routinely produces the finest college talent in the commonwealth in spite of playing at the 2A classification. As we have said umpteen time, where you compete (classification-wise) is pretty meaningless in Kentucky. In the KHSAA, we have good teams and not so good teams. Both types span all six (6) classes. Enjoy this look at a kid who has the name to go as far as he would like in the sport of football. He has the measurements and the skills too. Enjoy the feature.

JJ Austin is a workhorse for one of Kentucky’s premier programs. He leads the team in rushing, and rushing the football is what the Pirates do best. JJ is also more than a token defender. What will he do in ’25, as a senior? One might say he is “in the lead” to represent the “Big Ass Fans” Small School All-State Football Offense at FB/LB in 2025. It is still early. Every year, rosters are charged with replacing outgoing talent with upgrades (if they are lucky). Eighth graders leave middle school, and enter ninth grade, more and more prepared to contribute on Friday nights than at any previous time. Dariyon Walker looks to crack the Storm’s lineup early in his high school career. Will he? We like his chances!
